I can't understand why it took the police so long to shoot him. The Daily Mail article for what its worth say's they were trying to get him to surrender. FFS just shoot him and ask questions later.

BBC news this morning could not bring themselves to say it was a terrorist attack preferring to say it was an "extremist attack" that must be the new friendly terminology instead of "mental issues" for Islamic terrorist attack.  Whatever they want to call it sadly more innocent folk murdered and maimed. RIP.

Chérif Chekatt sounds middle Eastern but he was born in Strasbourg and was apparently radicalised in prison for non terrorist charges. 

The police were looking for him for other reasons yesterday which may have prompted his attack. Apparently he did shout 'allahu akbar'. 

France is definitely in a Pickle at the moment. 

We were due to stay in Strasbourg next week for 3 nights on our way down to the Alps, must have had a premonition as we cancelled it a couple of weeks ago and are now staying in Dijon.
