I wouldn't dismiss it. Basically what it shows is he'd rather tear down independence for Scotland than have it in anyone else's name.

It'll split the vote and weaken Nicola, if he was all about independence, he wouldn't have done this.

Why would someone buy a house knowing the council tax liability then claim the council tax is crippling? Strange

He also claims that his intention is to gain additional seats to the snp and bolster the Parliament to a pro independent majority.
