This lady has crossed Europe and numerous safe countries and safe havens that she could of taken advantage of.

I’d like to think she would be taken care of in France while the visa is issued, right or wrong our government have decided that folk are allowed into UK with families where, I think that allows 200,000 Ukrainians to settle here, I think that’s a very fair offer, however the checks have to be put in place to make sure that those arriving have families in the UK.

They’ve not done a good job of that, perhaps if they had we’d be able to accept more Ukrainians with genuine needs rather than 20-30 year old economic migrants.

Defensive weapons and training - excellent 👌 

Sanctions - Very poor initially but slowly getting better, work in progress. 

Refugees - Utter shitshow. Appalling scenes in Poland and France, lies made in Parliament and complete disorganisation and ineptitude.

My wish:

As Ukraine is being bombarded from the air still, as much anti air and also anti tank stuff we can throw at them.

Keep on with the sanctions and come to some agreements with the EU, US and other nations to supply gas and oil between nations (not sure how feasible that is in reality?)

Actually do what was promised would be a start. Allow those trying to get in on the current scheme to get here and do post checks. Folk shouldn't be queueing up in the cold for hours to be told to go somewhere else, that is not acceptable. 

Get staff into Poland, Hungary, etc and set up proper support centres giving help with visas, fast track for those with family, post processing, etc.

I amconfident we will sort out the visa issues, we’ve given over 200 million, thousands of anti tank weapons and sanctioned Russia, but some folk just can’t wait to jump in both feet when something goes wrong, yet no praise for the positive steps the UK has taken. Seriously haven’t a clue what’s up with the usual suspects.

I rarely dip my toes in the political water here so might be missing something, but surely there are pretty much zero economic migrants in that sense given males aged 16-60 aren’t allowed to leave Ukraine?

I wonder if the Soviet Union still existed and Russia pushed for the likes of Finland, Sweden, maybe Holland and other bordering  “Western” European States to join up to them, we might have a different view on whether we should be encouraging the likes of Ukraine into NATO and the EU?
