Trade is still settling down from Brexit and change was always going to happen add in the pandemic and it’s only to be expected.

Great news that unemployment is down, job vacancies up, house prices rising, that’s despite increased interest rates, still negative interest rates in the EU.

Yes there are problems but feel we are heading in the right direction.

Low unemployment is very good, lots of job vacancies is neither, high house prices is very bad.

High interest rates is also very bad as that means inflation is even higher.  A good way to counter that is with good growth but that also requires labour shortages to be filled and people spending on things other than their energy bills.

We aren’t in a high interest rate scenario, it’s better to be positive rates than negative, high house prices are good as long as the bubble doesn’t burst,  we are way of high interest rates so don’t see that happening, energy bills are mainly down to the war and if that gets sorted that will ease. I think all things considered we are in a reasonable place.

Interest rates are quite high? Inflation is going up sharply very soon too. High house prices are never good, ever. Our current energy bills have absolutely nothing to do with the war in Ukraine, that hit is yet to come in October.

Seriously mate, things are looking very grim for millions of households already but next winter will be carnage if things aren't sorted.

There was always going to be a reduction in trade with the EU the severity was always governed by what deal we actually agreed to, in the end we went with a hard Brexit.

It was well documented prior to the vote that a hard Brexit would give us the biggest hit, however I think it was essential we uncoupled ourselves lock stock and barrel, a half in half out situation was less desirable for me even though the hit to trade might have been less in the short term.

So we agree with chancellor that the economy is in a worse position because of Brexit, as predicted by everyone including Brexiteers.

Yep, was always gonna be worse in the short term, was well documented before the vote, harder Brexit was worse case scenario and we went for that option. I’m delighted we did.

Yeah, and it was labelled "Project Fear" every fucking time.

The bloke is absolutely batshit mental.

Is there a plan or a sense of direction yet?

Or are we still just wanking ourselves off that we can do whatever we like now, freed from the shackles of our overlords?

It was part of project fear as the remainers tried to throw as much shit as possible, thankfully folk decided most of it was lies and now we’re in a great position to kick on.

We have a minister for Brexit Opportunities

So far, when questioned about the fact that Brexit is creating £5billion worth of extra red tape, he has responded with absolutely fucking nothing of value. He’s an utter cunt and clearly thinks being a sarcastic cunt in Parliament is a useful response:

They are pissing directly in the faces of brexitererers and all they can do is beg for more piss. Thicker, smellier piss with bits in it.

Nobody finer to lead us through this turbulent time than a Dickensian supervillain with a 50 year plan for success!

Tell that to the millions who want to get onto the housing ladder or want to move to a bigger house. High house prices are good for you.

Not documented on the side of that twatting big bus.

Was the Good Friday Agreement well documented as well?

Yes. Countless times.

It was never documented anywhere before or after the vote. It has just crept in by the backdoor and plonked itself on the sofa pretending it was there all the time.

Funny how I missed it during the referendum run in.

I mustn't have been listening close enough

You are glad we went for worse case scenario ?
