As it should be.

The reality is that it makes zero sense to cut trade links with one of the world's largest market places which is less than 30 miles from your doorstep. Call me a remoaner if you like, I prefer realist.

We didn’t cut trade links, we still trade with the EU, if it was just a pure free trade relationship we wouldn’t have left, we left because of the rest of the baggage.

I’m actually gutted that it’s the Conservative party who are dragging us all through this gigantic puddle of cowshit.

Always preferred the Tories, especially when it came to money management.

Unfortunately, this current shower are the antithesis of “conservative”.

Id much prefer to be ripping Labour to pieces over the way Brexit has been handled but they aren’t doing it, so blaming them is merely a diversion tactic for anyone asked about the positives and they simply cannot find any.

Its shit. And having Rees Mogg front and centre is unlikely to improve anything. He’s a thundering shitstack

Isn't there a stock retort here?

Maybe it is Labour's fault for not being a strong enough opposition party

We were told that one of the biggest benefits of leaving the EU was we'd no longer be paying £350m (Boris) or £250m (economists) every week.

Genuine question- does anyone know whether those payments have totally stopped now? If they have, then that could be described as a benefit?

350 million has been dwarfed by loss in exports and other trading problems, particularly in food, fishing and farming. How many small businesses have disappeared or relocated to the EU to keep afloat? Our food standards, Employee rights and environmental protections will also be at severe risk of being diluted or damaged outside the EU.

Received a list of product price increases up to 25% from 1st March from CCF/Travis Perkins yesterday (in addition to the usual 1st January price increases) for 48 manufacturers, (I've just counted them). Metal studwork was 65%

Bog standard ready mix concrete has gone up 25% this month.

In addition steel stockists will currently only guarantee quotations for 24 hours.

It's relentless.

Lithium has gone up over 300% in the past 6 months, so battery prices are starting to rocket as well - it's such fun

24 hours is brave.

My quotes last as long as a phone message from Mission Impossible

All our quotes are now only valid for 24 hours, they used to be 30 days, but it's impossible to do that now - the biggest issue, along with a standard manufacturing lead-time now of 75-100 weeks, is that shipping costs are going through the roof

To answer the original question the payments have stopped.

The drop in food/fishing was mainly down to the pandemic and trade was rebounding until December 2021, that is when many EU countries went back into lockdown, this strongly suggest that we will rebound now the EU is back open and companies have got use to the extra paperwork.

Away with your facts. I'm looking for positives here!

Another thing the Tories failed to mention.

Mounts is your man. It won’t be very specific though😂

Our local Tory MP here, before he deleted a tweet that might have made him look dense and gullible as fuck:

Chris Green is a prick.

I'm sure Stewart was calling Defeffal a bellend on the telly just before Christmas.

....but Labour are shit, so it's OK

You're meant to do the joke before noon. I also thought it was 31/3 today.

He also said Brexit would allow them to ditch the tampon tax but forgot to mention Ireland already did within the EU. Pity they won't do the same on heating but Rushi won't allow such a big loss.
