When you say 'the idea is to pick' can you clarify whose idea you are referring to ? I thought it was an election and people could choose who they vote for. I read an article several days ago. Don't know what she's said recently, but what was quoted in the article was a very sensible stance.

Interesting that some are focusing on this as a means of knocking her down. Suggests she's doing plenty right.

She now claims to have never supported self-ID despite government ministers and the CEO of Pink News both claiming she previously did when they were working to develop public policy.

It's no concern of mine as I'm not a member of the Tory party and it's for the Tories to decide who the vote in as their leader, but I suspect she's lying about her opinions on trans rights - and definitively about her previous positions - so I can't blame people for wanting to point that.

Oh dear, I think Penny’s been sussed on the trans issue in the televised debate!! If she believes something she needs to own it and be honest about it. Clearly she isn’t.

Well, in the article she said she backed those who had gone through gender reasignment to be viewed as the opposite sex, but that wouldn't make them biologically so.

63 makes a decent point- make her position clear and own it. No point in being mealy mouthed. It is reasonable to change views too, as the situation is explored more deeply.

I think the issue within sport has brought a lot of this to a head- simply that a person can identify as they wish, but don't expect to be judged in certain situations as different to your birh gender.

Tugendhat clearly the most sensible candidate out of that shower of bullshitters, so he'll be gone on Monday. 🙃
