Just a question of how much of the countries money truss is going to spend on buying votes for the tories

And whose votes she decides to buy

Just watch how quickly Labour fall into line now that those that pay the piper have spoken.

Unless Liz Truss performs a minor miracle, you will have this sinister alliance calling the shots in a couple of years.

it will be a fun watch.

As opposed to your countryman calling the shots for the past 12 year long shitshow.

You're fucking clueless.

I don't recall it being a shitshow the last time Labour was in charge either.

The NHS was miles better, police actually solved crimes, you could get an ambulance before you pegged it, councils actually had a budget to work with, etc, etc.

I am sure that you'll get your wish in a couple of years. The British public usually ditches the Conservatives after 3 or 4 terms only to scurry back to them when they realise what they have unleashed. I'll wait for the repercussions and then will be reminding you then if I stick this place out that long.

Not sure what Thick Brown is on about again but it seems that, as usual, his numb as a piss stone presence remains as tragically healthy as ever.

Sadly, that seems to be par for the course for the NHC.

Seems to be every year that stories like this emerge.

Ah , I do love the ramblings of a pensioner.😃

British politics 2022

Looks like any tories had a lucky escape.

To be fair most Tory MPs don’t usually wait to be asked they just get stuck in there.

I see Truss has pulled out of another interview, claiming she can "no longer spare the time".

Tory hustings, with soft-ball questions are absolutely fine; interviews with interviewers who might actually ask tougher questions seemingly not.

She’s nothing to gain and everything to lose. The contest is over.

"I will stand up to Vladimir Putin.....but Nick Robinson scares the shit out of me."

The Tories are officially a spent force.

She’s a fucking moron and I’m now convinced the background Tories simply want to lose the next election.

I’d even give Rishi Sunak the benefit of the doubt. The 5 shittest Tories in Parliament are Johnson, Mogg, Truss, Fabricant and Dorries.

Remarkably, they’ve managed to have 2 of them as leader in quick succession.

What a mess.

And if it were just this interview I could understand. But she previously declined an interview with Andrew Neil in July.

I'm sure it's a sucessful strategy, I just think it's unimpressive.

Oh there are hundreds at the moment - Mark Francois, John Wittingdale, Jonathan Gullis, Desmond Swayne, Paul Bristow, Richard Drax, Marco Longhi, Steve Baker, Sheryll Murray....

Thats top of the head stuff, but each one a horror in their own way.

There's a pattern. Johnson did the same.

Shithouses one and all.

Those folks are also all part of the ERG, Johnson has opened the doors for those who usually reside in the darker recesses of parliment to the fore.

Murray emplys her own husband as her 'office manager' on 40k...Desmond Swayne wanted to make homosexually illegal to stop AIDS, Richard Drax voted aganist developments to land ownership because he's landed gentry and that's how his family make their money... these people are steering the ship by being a significant lobby to push the government.

indeed, yet people like @bolty58still think they're the very best of the best and the people who we need to run the country.....it really does beggar belief. Although, he also doesn't seem to understand that you can still want the Conservatives in power, just not these particular shitbags.

I'm desperately hoping that Truss isn't going to be the car crash that we all think she's going to be, thus opening the door for Labour to step in. Remember when Johnson won the last GE, with a majority of over 80 seats, people were suggesting it was such a hammering, that Labour might not get back into power for another 15-20 years  -  roll on just 3 years later, and as things stand, it's looking like that could easily flip 180

I've still heard people this weekend, suggesting that it was the media that did for Johnson.....and they actually believe it as well

She is still presuured by the mob above though - the people who moderates like Major and Cameron had to manage, they have taken over the shop now, and Truss is just their latest manager.

Nothing will change until the Tories change themselves but from ideological position they chime with the thousands of Bolty's in the UK and they are not going to let that go.

As you say in recent focus groups Tory voters are already wanting back Johnson, feeling it was the 'liberal media in London' that scuppered him. It re-enforces the them vs us narrative and that's why is so believable, because its already the position.

Because it was mentioned on here watched Truss on GB News.

Good Grief.

General consensus was that we should turn boats back when they arrive. Not our problem if they die.
