I think if you try hard you can appreciate the sentiment which is that food banks are now a necessity in every major town in the UK.

I think you need to look at what I said and try not to twist the narrative.

Never said you did.

I'm offering up another discussion.

You might have a go at this one, rather than shy away like the sex pest one.😉

Let’s put it another way. Explain every one of the points you made. With facts.

Let's put it this way Boby. You tell us what's great and good about what the tory government have done for the british population in the last twelve years.

Boby isn't a Tory and he voted Remain, but he's always the first to jump to the defence of Tories and Brexit... 🤔

I’ve never come on here to promote the Tory government. You posted a long list of grievances. Some of which I said were true some weren’t.
You spent time listing them. Spend a bit more time giving us some facts to back them up.

I know what you said but it’s pedantic nonsense. The point about food banks is valid and their growth is due to Tory policy during 12 years of austerity, cuts and terrible economic management of the country.

Paying for Furlough for staff who couldn’t work due to covid and spending billions to support businesses who couldn’t open during covid and who’d likely gone bust without support… first with vaccinations, oh and keeping Corbyn out of government.

All of that is true.

Wasn't that Rishi's doing? He's got to be the sensible option for the next PM

IF we're not getting GE for 2 years I'd rather him get the job. Johnson getting the job again will only destabilise the country further and give us further weeks/months of scandals and gossip leading the news cycle.

The country really needs anything but Boris. But it wouldn't surprise me if he got back in. That's how much of a mess we are in

Aye, thought not

Throughout my life, I’ve voted for various parties. I’ve always given my vote to whoever I think best represents my beliefs. Political party has never been that important to me. But if the conservatives really have 100 MPs who think that it’s acceptable for Boris to return to power then I think I may struggle to ever vote for them ever again.

36,693 voted for him in 2019. Not all party members though. Without knowing any myself, I couldn’t confirm or deny whether they are racist or not.

There'll be the odd one but its suits some to tar many with the same brush. I know, I know.

Utter drivel - nowt to do with the colour of Sunak's skin. He would have been very popular with the members before throwing Boris under the bus.

No. I really don’t know anyone who has expressed those views.

One unverified nut case phones a radio station and it’s spread far and wide.
Is this what we have become?

Yes it is. The fucking idiots bleat about polarisation and yet can't wait to be outraged and display it to all who will listen.

On the virtue signalling front, I was delighted to see this story last night

Well done Gina. Let the fuckers wither on the vine.

In the Tory members vote he got 43%. My take on it at the time was that the members wanted a new start, someone without the baggage of Boris’s time in office.
I’ve no doubt some are racist. Whether there is a significant number, no one knows.

If Rishi does get it, I hope that clip is remembered because she defended a lot of previous accusations about his private life. Something that will no doubt come up if he wins.

I have no doubt that the vast majority of Tory members are not racist.

A company this week however has shown how easy it is register fictitious people (and a tortoise) as members so given the impact they can have it is so flawed it is scary.

If Boris gets backed by 100 MOs he will win IMO. If he does how can all those that resigned previously from Cabinet get involved again without looking like total idiots ? 7 weeks ago no confidence in him but now he has taken 2 holidays he is ok ?

I think if PM would announce she would offer Rishi the Chancellors job that would be the strongest ticket for now and upto the next election ( I know she has said it would be Hunt btw)

I'm not too sure Rishi wants to be Chancellor again

If Johnson got 100 and Sunak 200 it would be expected that the lower backed candidate would concede. Otherwise the risk is that Johnson gets reinstated as PM with only 30% backing of the parliamentary party and that is clearly unsustainable.

This might surprise you but I agree. Seems Johnson had a meeting with Sunak last night. Be interesting to know what they were talking about.

It had to happen sometime 😀

It's looking like Johnson is struggling to get the numbers required, and Rishi will be a shoe-in. Going to be some crying on here tomorrow.
