One of the biggest problems with residency in any country is the cost of health insurance. Wasn’t an issue before.

As soon as your 67 and have residency you get access to Spanish National healthcare. You just need to cover health insurance until you are a pensioner.

Ok. Not the same in other countries though.

His figures are comparing 2022 to 2021, so give no indication of Brexit impact, as we were just coming out of a global pandemic...

I know, he'll post 2022 against other years shortly I'd have thought....

They are puddled. Some businesses had to choose whether to open new premises in the EU, lose a huge part of their business or cease trading.

As I said earlier, we closed down a UK warehouse, and opened up a new one in Poland (that the Polish Government made very easy and low cost) - we made 12 people in Newbury redundant, but we employed about 40 over in Poland, and it's made our life a lot easier. So, that's actually been a Brexit benefit for us, as a company 🙂

What’s that got to do with anything?

Only Spain matters to Mounts 😁

The Government have until 4PM today to hand over all Boris Johnson's unredacted Whatsapp messages and diaries to the Covid Enquiry. Probably a good time to have a major BBC scandal that they've known about since May....

have they appealed the immigration bill ruling?

What ruling? It's still in the amendment process as far as I know, bouncing back and forth between Parliament and the House of Lords. Do you mean the Rwanda Scheme? They haven't appealed that yet, but they probably will.

They had until 6th July to lodge an appeal. Sunak said they would, so I'd expect they have done so.......unless he wasn't telling the truth of course 🙂

Whilst on about The Conservative Party, Nadine Dorries, who was resigning with immediate effect on 9th June, is still an MP, and it's not just over a year since she last spoke in Parliament (she's earned over £95K in that time as an MP and a minister)

They had until 6th July to appeal that. No announcement yet, but they must have done, as it's all they've got left

Didn't realise that deadline had passed, as they're still talking about it. If they haven't already appealed, they'll find a way. 'Legal Process' means nothing to these corrupt grifting cunts.

Aye that is a good example. Very sad that the UK has lost these new opportunities.

It's not lost a "new opportunity" - it's lost an existing opportunity. For my company, it's made us more profitable and more efficient though, as apparently this place in Poland was falling over itself to welcome us there, with cheap rates etc.

If it wasn't for Brexit, I doubt we'd have been looking, but we did and it's benefitted all those who work at our company (other than the warehouse lot who got fucked off)

Yep. job losses in the UK, job creation in the EU. I’m sure it didn’t say that on the side of the bus🤔

 He does struggle doesn't he? At all times there should be a minimum of three choices for him to consider. Never ever a 50-50 proposition as we all know he'll get it wrong including himself.

I could but UK tax is friendlier than Spain... However I am happy with 90 in 180 days, was just a tongue in cheek comment.

Yes mate. The intention is twice a year for us now with a 3 month gap in between. Bit of a pain but worth it. Tax awareness vital or your worldwide assets can become subject to Spanish tax. We already pay enough (too much IMO) in the other places.

Considered residencia at one point. Too costly.
