So, do you think we shouldn't be going back into it then? - Even you must see this is something we need to be part of

Suspicious of anything related to burgeoning bureaucracies.

Another box which could be ticked by anti democratic types laying out their justification for overturning the result of greatest democratic process in UK history.

In short then - no.

You'd be pleased with me today, I'm wearing a rather fetching Fred Perry polo shirt, some Levis and a pair of Gazelles 🙂

And a pastel sweater draped over your shoulders.

I'm not sure even the most gammony of gammons could defend that sort of behaviour.

It's your Conservative Party, who you usually claim can do no wrong who are pushing it through though 🙂

On a more serious note, us not being part of it, has damaged us a little over the past few years, not re-joining, now that we have the opportunity could set us back years.

The big issue I guess is that some who voted leave, don't want us to rejoin, yet others who voted leave do want us to rejoin and are hailing it as a Brexit bonus (although they've probably not realised it will, to some extent, ties us back into the ECJ for a large chunk of our workforce)

I do think it's potentially the thin end of the wedge to a creep back towards re-joining in a decade or so

I never mentioned “Govt” bonds and I said “approaching” 6%.

They are fixed rate bonds of varying lengths through banks etc….

The 6% deals will be available within a week or so when they pass some of the 0.5% rate rise from last week.

Lloyds are supposed to be raising their one year fixed cash isa to 5.45% at the end of next week.Very nice.

It is if you have savings and no mortgage.

Some people have a mortgage and no savings. Some have a mortgage and savings. Some have no mortgage and savings.

Ive been in all three categories. In fact I’ve been in a position of a mortgage and in debt with no savings.

Both of the major parties having been pushing the banks to reduce the differential between savings rates and mortgage rates.
