Thing is, that's bollocks, nobody from "Working Class" in the way that it used to be, should be anywhere near the civil service.

Nothing 😊

"Working Class" doesn't really exist, let's be honest, it hasn't done for decades.

For clarity. Prejudice. From my experience, anyone with one, usually has two or more. 😉

Sir Keir Rodney Starmer thinks so. He’s the son of a Toolmaker and don’t you forget it!

So am I. Working class, not the son of a Toolmaker.

The "Working Class" thing I find interesting. Some people wear it as a badge of honour. Some claim to be working class, and have never really worked.

What do you think working class is?

Obviously not a perfect science but Google has it as...

The term "working class" generally refers to people who rely on wage labor for their livelihood and often perform manual or blue-collar jobs. It's a social class characterized by its relationship to the means of production (i.e., not owning significant assets like land or businesses) and its reliance on selling its labor for income

Nah, fuck that, let's just patronise the proles.

Then lock them up for speaking out on social media.

You are well and truly down the Far Right rabbit hole, and you don't even realise it.

I was brought up in a 2 up 2 down terrace with an outside loo. I went to school in my brothers 3 year old clothes. I also wore plastic sandals to school and was laughed at. When I was eleven, we moved into a council house. I thought we’d won the pools.

Champagne Socialists and Middle Class Twats haven’t a fricking clue what ‘working class’ is and never will.

Working Class people aspire to be middle class.

A lot of middle class people pretend to be working class.

There is also a feral underclass that have no interest in working.

I never aspired to be any sort of class. I started at the bottom and just worked hard to get off the bottom. Anything above that was a bonus. I guess most would say I’m now ‘middle class’ I’m not. I’m still the same lad who was at the bottom.
It’s a peculiarly British thing.

I was having an argument with a  former wanderer last year about this. He was telling me He’s working class, this was whilst we was sat in an out house located in the grounds of his 1 million pound mansion. He might have been brought up in a working class environment but after a very successful career he’s definitely not working class now. He’s also a scouser so you can’t put them and working in the same sentence

I suppose it comes down to more than money. Before your time but still pertinent to this day. 😊

Can you get a mansion with grounds these days for £1 million?

A definition i heard was that you're working class if your television is bigger than your book case .

The point is some people work hard to ‘get on’ in life. So whilst your ambition may not to be middle class. You work hard to have all the things that bring middle class means.

Bigger house, in a better area, money in the bank , kids looked after. It would be daft not to want those things would nt it ?

Sir Rodney says it’s based on what your Dad did when you were 14. Dad worked on the shop floor in a cotton mill. Definitely working class.

We had a bath once a week. Whether we needed it or not.😉

Im not going to post the ‘Yorkshire men’ video.

A new party 👀
