They'll need the riot vans there tonight.

No chance the Patriots, who want Sovrunty, and for us to be able to make our own laws/decisions and have British Judges and British law prevail, are going to idly stand by and let British Judges make decisions

This is quite the debate at the moment.

Is it "law"?

One lot saying the ECHR isn't be the be all and end all, and can be ignored- as other nations do.

Others, naturally, will say we can't ignore it.

As it is enshrined within the Human Rights Act, I would assume the judges hands are tied.

A lawyer on the radio just now however, saying governments can't just shrug their shoulders and say it's the law, as they chose to make it law, and can just as easily scrap it.

Lots of subtleties too of course.

What's more, the full hearing requesting the injunction hasn't been heard yet, so all this cheering (both initially and today) was only ever temporary any way.

That said, given what appears to have been said during this ruling, it is almost certain that the injunction will not be permitted at the full hearing in October.

Going to take some magical presentation to win it.

Agree.

Hopefully, the same will be applied to pro-palestine marches when laws are broken then.

Mind you, there are that many of them, they may need to hire a couple of steam rollers to make the job quicker.

Palestinian marches? With flags and stuff? Must have missed that.

I understand the concern by some on here. When I was young, there were many who had reservations about the flag waving nationalists. Many remembered or were aware of the marches down Cable St. London.

“We don’t want flag waving nationalists seeking the extermination of the Jews on our street” went the cry!

Hold on…. 🤔

Another little twist I noticed on the bbcScreenshot_20250829_165242_Gallery.thumb.jpg.8e4c85b8508d6fa5f3c5398ca8acc0bc.jpg

All this fuss over a hotel holding just 140 men. Another 1000 arrived over the last seven days.
How long before Bolton Stadium Hotel is used? Probably make more money than they do now and it’ll all go towards strengthening the team.
Match day will be enhanced with cheap car washes whilst the owners are watching the match. The economy could do with a boost. Winners all round.👍

The injunction could still be won- unless the BBC know for sure it won't!

As above though, I don't think it will- because of what was said.

As for other councils- this changes nothing: if they feel there has been a breach of planning law, and can get them stopped on that basis, then they may still try.

Again though, they may choose to wait until the Epping case is fully heard.

From what I've heard reported, judge (maybe lawyers) said something along the lines of planning consent is less of a legal argument than the rights of the migrants.

Hence the hullabaloo around the government putting migrants before the public.

Just don't let the ladies' team play at the stadium...

I think the ladies will be fine. Just looking at the scenes at the hotel in Epping on the news and it’s surrounded by police and fencing.
It’s debatable who’s being protected. 😉

Actually, you may be onto something.

Tented detention camps in football grounds...

Easy to secure, lighting, facilities, and food on site.

Sorted.

That’s all well and good but we need a deterrent to stop more coming over illegally.

I know, Wigan!

They come later.
It’s ok though, One in one out remember.
So that means that we will eventually return 1000 (in the last week) and they will return 1000 to us!
People actually believe this shit. Seriously, they actually do.
