I saw that, what I did think was a bit odd, was that on his lapel, he was wearing a GB News pin/badge thing, so I assume he's there representing them, rather than Reform

They're one and the same. Like Fox News and the Republican Party.

I genuinely hope Angela Rayner doesn't get potted. Think she's a great politician but how daft can someone be.

Utter madness really but hope she survives it.

Shes still not had a reply

Fwiw, if its true shes fucked up (which is unclear, as yet) its a tricky one

If it was me, i could prob hide behind the shit advice defence, pay up and get on with my life

In her position, its gonna be tough

Maybe some race riots could save her

Quite ironic

Add on the amount of necessary shit she gets for being a northern woman in the press.

Was talking to a good friend whose a longstanding client, member of the Conservative Party, I agree its been a bad summer and im not convince bringing a load of Briarites back into the fold is going to work.

Mind you, whilst he was enjoying my squirming he ended the chat by saying, well let the idiots have Farage, that'll fuck us up more that Brexit or this Labour government.

‘ave it, you gobshite.

Fucking beautiful.

She previously committed a fraud, either

1. Tax, or

2. Electoral

HMRC via the old boys network decided not to pursue and Manchester Police couldn't be arsed. I recall she quoted "bad advice" then also.

Deputy Prime Ministers cannot blame bad advice, they are central to the entire law making cycle... all they have to do is walk down the corridor and ask someone to sort it.

No, it's in their cheating DNA make up... fk you lot, I'm the boss now.

Do you remember how she used to badger Sunak's wife over tax affairs?

Not true.

The figures being banded about did not take into account money she may or may not have spent on the house.

IF (big if) the case was the worse case scenario she would have owed about £3500. The Police could not bothered looking into it as the amounts were too small. However the then Chair of the Tory party kicked up such a fuss that they launched another enquiry ( which would have cost more money than the worst case scenario) after that they said there was no case to persue. So you either/or case is not accurate.

As I said originally if she can show she took decent legal advice, which she must able to produce as to be decent legal advice it must have been properly documented then imo she is fine. If not she is fucked.

Lets be honest if she had walked down the corridor and asked someone else to it and they got it wrong you would be complaining about that.

Cheating DNA - Do you mean Labour or all politicans ?

She has been losing her power base... Unite suspended her membership

3 more 'bad summers' to go, which will basically consist of racist thickos doing absurd things in the name of 'patriotism'. Sit back and enjoy them.

His grift is at the expense of our country on the international stage. Always has been.

All Westminster politicians... we desperately need to pop the bubble. She is moving to Brighton as she knows she will lose Ashton because of corruption, probably to Reform... it's called a "chicken run" in the business.

We expected Douglas Hogg to fiddle the country when he claimed expenses for cleaning his moat but for a "working class"politician to cheat the country is pure hypocrisy... I recall her stating that every pound in tax avoidance is a pound less for the national health or something similar.

She's as bent as a nine bob note in my view.

Alan B`stard appeared in the HOC with adverts on his sleeves, akin to a snooker player. Art imitating life.

Make them have them tattooed on their faces.

I am almost agreeing with you here.

But the alternative of Farage is even worse although at least he has the decency not to pretend.

I dont remember such outrage at Zahawi and £5 million being paid back? I wonder why?

Deflecting from what? If Rayner has broken the law, sack her and send her down. If anything, it's you who seems keen to deflect from the behaviour of hordes of racist thickos.

In bad summers I mean it's just dont understand why Labour are allowing the space to be dominated and are so quiet. What are their comms team doing? Its baffling me at the moment.

I agree. It's a bit mad, but I'm sure the comms will ramp up in a year or so when positive change becomes more visible. Maybe they're hoping Farage will be hoisted by his own petard in the meantime.

Labour have been shite at communicating anything from the start. It's like they are being run by some local council group made up of old dears who don't understand mobile phones.

But waiting for a populist to fail is politics from 20 years ago, we've seen in America that facts and traditional politics dont win the ground. But neither does agreeing with Farage just to keep hold of the narrative.

Look at the lib demo- they've got more MPs than they have had in 20 years but they still cant get a look in.

Its statement before policy now. I fear that Starmer cant/won't grasp this. Im not talking about a drill down to the bottom but I expect Starmer to call out this flag waving for what it is - isolationist rather than patriotic. There is a stand to be made which many would get behind, but no one is making it.

I agree - as I say im baffled by their naivety. They are so silent - why are they not dominating the space, they are doing good things but its all so quiet.

I fear Starmer is too cautious, too much the lawyer, and thw country needs a spokesperson and leader to counter the crap that Reform spout. Millions of us would want that if they tried. They have the majority to do it as well.
