I’m confused.
it’s local elections, basically who is in charge of collecting the bins and local issues .

the way Facebook is you’d think it was determining us getting a new parliament, or as some even seem to think a new leader of the country, some even think they are voting for “ Nigel”

I know things can be read into the result as a measure of public feeling but fuck me nothing is going to change in terms of any national set up  on Friday ?

Always been the case.

The "barometer" effect is more interesting than the actual results.

People rarely vote according to who they think would be the best councillor, but along party lines.

Not usually a great deal of info available on prospective candidates neither.

Aye get all that, particularly the barometer effect, that’s dead right, but there’s people in frenzies about this one, as if all the foreign folk are getting deported come Friday .

Speaking of Nigel, did you know it went extinct as a baby name in 2020?

Literally voting for a fossil.

The Reform candidate for my area has self evident turkey teeth, a combover and a fake tan.

Don’t ruin it for Bolty. He thinks Nigel will be parachuting into Downing Street from a spitfire tomorrow.

Thick is as thick does.

Be some sectarian voting going down in sunny Bolton tonight with Baggy ☪️

It's only sectarian voting when they do it! 😁😉

Very much pro-LGBTQ+ rights, which creates confusion as to why Asians are standing for them.

Baggy and his gaggle of Muslims out canvassing today must all be closet woofters.

Gazza's more of a Reform lad, surely

My very subjective and anecdotal polling is telling me Bolton's going to Reform

There were a few on their way to the voting booth who I've never seen before and they didn't seem the type to vite for Kier

I reminded me a bit of the referendum

A bumpy ride ahead

I'd guess because they know the Greens wouldn't be complicit in a genocide like Labour are. Probably more of a pressing concern to them than bumming and stuff.

Obviously nowt to do with locals like

Aye, i imagine a good few bloody noses in the morning.

Reform have the momentum to them especially in towns like this. Tories are dead and I think the Kier types will have had to drag themselves there.

is that the 2 who 'won' the leccy bills paid competion who then turned out to the nominators of a reform candidate in the local elections and long standing Nige supporters.

Labour and Tories are bad but neither compare to reform on the coruption scale

I'd do anything for free drugs ale and kebabs :)

And there's no local election near me today but if there was I'd vote Labour and I'd vote Labour in a GE.

So fuck off :)

Is it all still Cliff Morris' fault?

That's the thing I don't get, Farage and Tice are corrupt as fuck but their support just turn a blind eye. Just like they did with Johnson, it's absolutely mental.

But what really makes me laugh is how they, and with a straight face too, say a mix up with a rental property permit means they are all the same these politicians. Utter rot.

But I say that knowing that Starmer isn't capable of turning public support around and isn't actually very good at this PM business at a national level.

We will get what we deserve, just like Brexit, just like Johnson and their supporters will all suddenly get selective amnesia when it all goes wrong, yet again.
