Fortunately, reform are a bright bunch, so we’re all in safe hands.

Duh, I'm so fucking fick.

Although in fairness, it's UKIP under a new name and a different coloured rosette.

According to Facebook, Reform have won both Westhoughton council seats.  The comments suggested the result will both make Keir step down and stop the boats.  I had no idea our parish Council was so pivotal.

Has he gone yet?
Have the boats stopped?
Is anyone darker than a latte being rounded up yet?

Now reform are in charge of Astley bridge, I look forward to them stopping all the double parking outside the mosque on a Friday. Starting today.

Wonderful news to wake up to. Let's not be too hasty though Spider. He's inheriting a real mess caused variously by lefties in general, immigrants, two tier policing, unwarranted shame about the empire, a lack of visible flags, the demise of white dog poo, Councillor Chris Morris and far too little good, old fashioned common sense.

Thankfully for the residents of Astley Bridge - 'good old fashioned common sense' is one of Ryan's stated best qualities. So we can all sleep easy in our beds.

Obviously when Ryan turfs out all the 'slims - that's going to create a lot of space for us honkeys. So I'm a bit concerned about the impact on housing prices. But I have every faith that Ryan's good old fashioned common sense, intellectual prowess (and dare I say - impeccable dress sense) will lead us to the promised land.

One happy Astley Bridgian (or whatever we're called) 😁

Let’s hope he holds up well under scrutiny.

Reform win 24 0f 25 seats in Wigan and 18 of 19 seats in Tameside

They don't like the new immigrants in Wigan and Angela Rayner in Tameside

Aye, we in Atherton have stayed loyal to the (Independent) fella who has worked hard for 14 years as our councillor, he is a good 'un Jamie

No boats spotted in Westhoughton so far, so perhaps they're getting things done.

They'll need to be given time, like Trump, only judge them at the end of their term, not immediately..........only Labour should be judged immediately.

Well I had no idea that his credentials were so diverse and applicable! 😁😉

He'll start with a clean slate with me - as all politicians do.

Reform didn’t take control of a single council in Greater Manchester.

That shows the way the votes have fragmented I suppose. We probably need to get used to hung parliaments and councils with no overall control.

What this does tell me is that there is still hope for a charismatic, unifying leader to emerge in the centre before the next election.

But it'll be a hell of a job.

Given that only a proportion of seats were available, that would be extremely difficult.

The bigger picture shows a huge gain amongst those available.

9 out of 20 in Bolton.

If that was to continue next time round, then the country would look very different.

In Tameside, every seat available was won by Reform. Rayner's area.

Traditionally, a red wall, and one with a lot of Muslims.

To overturn that is remarkable.

Still suggesting that Reform is this heavily a right wing party.

Yet it has gained numerous voters from Labour.

Almost entirely down to the immigration issue.

Immigration isn't (or shouldn't) be a political issue in terms of left or right.

Many of the voters clearly don't see it thar way, yet traditional parties don't grasp it.

Anybody who think they aren't is a bit daft. Just look at their policies

Ah well, time to join our Antipodean branch, crack open a few Foster tinnies and watch the country quickly get back on its feet. Britannia rules again 🥳 🇬🇧

Ryan`s in for a bit of a shock when he finds out their is nothing he can do about planning and carrying out roadworks. In fact I`m not sure he can do anything about the local issues that he raises.

He IS going to 'passionately bring honesty' though 😁

Seriously - does nobody proof read these things?

Only singling him out because he's won. The rest were just as shite.

Agreed. I am sure plenty have been surprised and relieved about how little they actually matter or influence.
