My view is we will just about scrape to safety.

  • Wot he said

  • Fuck me, I know we are bi-polar on here but it's still August you fuckers.   Start worrying 10 games in. Under Lennon it felt like we'd lost all 10.

he said today he was thinking of ditching 3-5-2 before the cup game and he shouldn't of started Buckley Friday

He also said he wanted to bring in another winger which to me sounds like he's ditching 352

The never ending cycle continues. A couple of bad results and the wrist slashers and doom mongers are out in force on here.

Do I remember a season when we hit the top of the PL after 3 games when donkey Deano squeezed one under the Liverpool keepers body to give us a 2-1 win or did I dream it? By the end of the season we only just avoided relegation? I may have dreamed all of this.

Far too early to be looking for the sharp implements when we are still only in August FFS. Do other clubs have as many knobspankers as us?

I was reading some Everton forums and twitter stuff last night for a nosey. They are just as puddled as our lot :D

Some folk saying if they sign Costa they would stop going because of his antics. One guy refuses for his club to be fitness coach for athletico Madrid

One even called Koeman Koemoyes :)

who are the doom mongers out in force?

I probably have been one of most critical of Parkinson since he came but I'm certainly not wanting him out or panicking yet

Couple of folk pointing out a couple of grey areas

We need to give parky time I am confident he will sort it pretty quickly especially now we have a 2 week break .

Not referring to you old bean. More aimed at the '99%ers'.

Some who have been around here a while will remember an endless stream of doom mongers every time a couple of bad results crop up.

One of the 'best' was a bloke called TonyCee.

we do have a fickle set of fans and in the past have turned on managers and players rather quickly

This twitter thing sounds ruthless tho

Parky needs to find a system that works for the players and level.

3 5 2 might get points against the other poor teams but with our squad it won't against top sides.

Anyone wanting rid of Parky is a plant pot. Anyone booing Pratley as he comes on the pitch is a total cunt.

Not convinced we can't play 3-5-2 nor 4-4-2.

Just a case of getting the right players for the roles. Surely the performance against Wednesday illustrated that.

Parky may have to be ruthless with some of the players that got us up last season.

Not sure I'll ever be convinced by him tactically, but he's got something; spirit, balls, aggression and seems to have created a good team spirit.

Not time to panic, time to stick together and battle. The main concern has been the apparent lack of battle from some of the players; get that sorted and we have enough to survive.

Won't help Parkinson with bolton news publishing an article by mcginlay voicing his concerns, need togetherness

mcginlay was a great player for us

beyond that, ive no time for him or his opinions

lets not forget, hes the bloke who defended coyle to the very end

Suppose not. Ultimately we just need a win or two; off field difficulties or not.

i haven't mcginlay and Kelly were so far up his arse

Just don't think we need that kind of shit in the paper at this moment

Bolton news in divisive trouble causing shocker.

and ripped of Smiley

Some need to stop being embrassing and having a meltdown. We've played 5 games!

John McGinlay is paid by the club isn't he? Wants to keep his mouth shut. Mind he's not the brightest.

Worry has to be that promoted teams often start well with momentum and struggle as time goes on. See our return to the top flight under Big Sam. We didn't go into the first game with any momentum for some reason. I think the injuries pre-season harmed that as I'm sure Ameobi was going to start that game if he'd been fit. Wheater not being fit etc...really has sapped us of key players and experience.

It is hard to see us staying up without some significant improvements to the squad. We are lacking in quality in too many areas to get away with. I'm sure Parky will improve us over the next few months, but enough to get 50 odd points? Looks a tough ask to me.

We were top of the league with three wins from three games.

Sorry, I didn't really type that clearly. I meant see how we started in that season and just scraped through. When I said we had no momentum I was referring to this current season.

100% correct.

It will be tough to amass 50 or so points which equates to 13 or 14 wins & quite a few draws in this league staying up this season with the current players will be a much bigger achievement than promotion last season.

Just maybe we can get to January without being too far adrift & with the embargo lifted (wishful thinking) & Sweaty Ken's wheeling & dealing we might be able to work a miracle.

Oh and I know we are only five games in but bad starts coupled with an inability to improve the playing squad usually only mean one thing .

Parkinson will do his admirable best in terms of spirit tactics & the rest but faces an uphill struggle.

All we can do is give the team 100% support.

Some need to stop being embrassing and having a meltdown. We've played 5 games!

if it is directed at me, i am not having a meltdown.

it is clear to all, the tactics we had used up to now do not work, even opposition managers pointed out our formation was there to be exploited.

if our manager cannot change this , then expect a lot of defeats this season.

i love our club ,and have never slagged our manager off at any game. i want us to stay up .

please don't chastise a genuine supporter for having a different opinion than you.

time will tell

Sheffield United were bottom of League One last year after four games and went on to win it with 100 points

The Championship is clearly a far tougher league but it's far too early for talk of relegation
