I was listening to Radio 2 recently, Steve Wright was on Radio 1 in the 80's. He seemed old then. One of those who tried to be cool by wearing a piano tie.

He must be in his Eighties now.

Heard them all on their recently

Evans, Radcliffe, cox, ball, mayo, whiley and probably others

Half of them weren't even cool first time round

Radcliffe does a folk music show now, have tried to listen for old times sake but it's not for me

No lard, no listen

Sweeny and Dewsbury on XS was a belting show before real radio fucked about with the station and all the good djs left and it went poo.

Steve Lamac and John Peel were a key part of my yoof. I remember Peel playing some Melt Banana and my head was conflicted as it was bit shite and brilliant at the same time.

The radio one shows where the djs picked the music were usually all excellent for their own genre. The daytime stuff playing from the playlist of about 12 songs was pants.

Radio 2 have been playing some mid 90’s Euro dance pop like Snap and Corona recently which has had me thinking g about the progression from Radio 1 to Radio 2,

Used to love Radio 1 so much, now can’t stand it, I can’t listen to annie Mac because she’s not Pete Tong, and Pete Tong is on now when I go to bed rather than stay up!

6 music for me practically all the time, or Ibiza sonica or stuff on mixcloud

The studio have commercial radio on all day every day it’s so trashy but they like it

Shaun Keaveney - Radio6 music breakfast is the best thing on the wireless for me. Great spread of good music and he's piss funny. And from Leigh.

XFM was great til it became RadioX with weapons too fond of their own voice and the same old 10 songs on repeat

I don't mind the odd listen to Nicky Campbell of 5Live either

Used to really like drum and bass. Still do, but all raves used to be pretty much all blokes and a bit moody

Too much testosterone and not enough fanny at Drum & Bass raves.

When you listen to some of the Radio 1 DJs from the 70s now, you realise just how uncannily accurate Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse's Smashey and Nicey really were,!!!

Are Enfield & Whitehouse paedos too?
