Wanderers 1-3 Preston

Gazing a little bit further down the line here, but what do you learned folk think the chances are of them re-arranging the home game against Preston on March 3?

Bearing in mind they've already moved Boro v Leeds to the Friday night and Wolves v Reading to Saturday evening so Sky/EFL have had a rummage through that weekend's fixtures already... but could our game still be moved for police advice, how late did they leave it in advance of the away game before moving it?

For me biggest game of season this. Win this and all those bottom teams will shit their pants as they’ll realise we’re staying up. Couldn’t be more proud of players and manager for sticking together a

it’s all good people say fuck em etc   But ultimately it’s us the football fans who get the rough end   I know we need the cash etc but this may backfire on ken one day and possibly pne may bring

That was awful, the plan today seemed to be when you get the ball hit it has hard as you can anywhere. They were light years ahead of us with a team with no stars just well organised and a plan how to win football matches. What do we do all week in training? We should have a week of just learning to pass the ball to each other. Someone should let parky know that madine has gone to Cardiff and that we need to try something different. The back 3 today were terrible, Wheater was shitting himself from the first minute to the last, Vela is overrated, walker is playing at the wrong club, why did we sign Clough and if Connor Hall is a worse option than Wilbraham then we should just let him leave at the end of the season. Hopefully that was just a off day because if we play like that to the end of the season we will be back in league one. Well done to preston one of the best teams we've played this season and a good bet for the play offs but your still fucking tin pot ????

Lostock whites got it bang on. Parky done a great job considering circumstances etc. Put is limited and is currently at his limit, if we want to push on after this season he is gonna have to change his style or find a replacement. Today was a hammering. The team who played football won.

Even after today's abject performance I still think we will stay up.

I've not read all the post-match responses, but it would serve to remember PNE are no mugs and are the league's 2nd best away from home.

They also cruelly exposed the fact we had no specialist right back on the pitch. If you're going 3 or 5 at the back then 3 centre halves is fine. When you switch to a 4 , you really need 2 fullbacks and 2 x CB at this level. And for me, one or both of Wheater/Beevers goes before Dorian does.

As for upfront, we all know that whoever plays up top is going to struggle without a change of approach.

Maybe Kirchhoff is Parkys answer to passing to a smaller more nimble forward line? I think we’ve done surprisingly well without madine with the exceptions of QPR and yesterday. Parkys shown terrific flexibility tactically since he’s been here but always worked within the constraints of his players. Just because we’ve sold our target man doesn’t mean our midfield metamorphoses into Jan Molby or the centre halves into The Kaiser - Parky keeps us up he should be top 3 manager of the year

Parky got it wrong from the off. He’s done a great job but his decisions today were bizarre. We had no right hand side and ameobi was a bystander all game. It’s like he plans substations in the week and not to the current situation

Parkinson has got the tools to do the job in hand

Unfortunately he chooses the wrong tactics and fucks about changing week in week out

I would have given Clough the chance instead of Wilbraham at least he can control the ball and scores goals in open play or with a free kick. Parky got it wrong today but he’s got my support and usually after he’s messed up he turns it around with his next team selection.

It was fucking wank and we scored against the run of play. That performance was like being back in September. Fucking rubbish.

On a positive note. Kirchhoff doesn't look shit; and he got to the end of the game without getting injured.

fans from former clubs said keep him fit and it will be a great signing

The big conundrum for Parky is how do we keep possession in the final 3rd the long pass from back to front no longer works we need a midfield who are all comfortable in possession and at least 1 player who can pick a pass hopefully that might be Kirchoff.

He could be the answer

But don’t forget Henry will be back

He doesn’t need to worry about keeping it in the final 3rd he just needs to stop them launching it constantly. We have show we can do it but seem to stop. Being 2-1 down yesterday made us actually have a go for a while

A midfield who are all comfortable on the ball!

You'll be lucky

German Morais ameobi and clough??

They'd never get the ball anyway if the other team are in the faces of our defence to the extent Preston were

If you think the three centre backs yesterday are capable of passing the ball when faced with a team that can do what Preston did you've been watching a different game to me

Can it ever change under Parky?

Can it ever change under Parky?

sadly not

Can it ever change under Parky?

If he can bring in the sorts of players others are then yes. He's hamstrung with a scratch squad, we are doing incredibly well t be where we are, with no real striker in the squad, a bunch of freebies and cast offs and not a penny spent.

Parky is the only thing we've got, most would have thrown the towel in after the first 12.

Yesterday we were outclassed by a side with far better players than we posses. They took their chances. Other games we've been outclasses by sides haven't taken their chances and we've managed to get a point or three.

Spot on. The idea that the sale of Madine would magically transform our team into Barcelona is laughable. Our best midfield  - who turned our season round -  is Henry, Vela & Pratley  but they are never going to be comfortable playing pretty, passing football, & since none of them want to take the ball off our defenders, our defenders have no choice but to launch the ball upfield....only an idiot would want Wheavers to be dribbling the ball out of defence.

Which brings us to the problem up front, where without Madine  the ball isn't sticking, & the hopeless play of Walker & Le Fondre yesterday just showed how important Madine was to us.

As you say, Parky can only work with the players he's got & as he's shown several times, if anyone can shuffle them & get results with the rabble he's got, it will be Parky.

sadly not

Of course it can it’s all about personnel at his disposal and I don’t buy into the bradford fans mantra that he’s a long ball manager.

It’s pointless just kicking it which ever directions you are facing

he has the players to change from long ball but he continues to do so, like I said before he’s not hard done by it’s how he goes about it set ups

I’m reasonably happy with Pratley and Henry on the ball it looks like Kirchoff is more than comfortable, that’s got to be the basis of our midfield and that solid base gives us the opportunity to throw creative players like Clough, Ameobi, Karacan and Morais into the mix, Vela is a concern for me as he’s better without the ball and if the other 3 defensive midfielders are fit he should be on the bench. One thing might be worth a try is henry and pratley centre mid with Kirchoff playing in front of them and using his excellent passing ability to pick out the likes of Clough or Alf.

Lets try something

You have the benefit of hindsight so know how Preston pressed us

Give us your team to beat them yesterday
