I take it he means Mahabharat in Hindley?... It's my favourite curry house, an old Wesleyan Chapel. Anyone remember the name of the one near the sex shop on St George's Rd? That was top notch. Robert Carlysle was in one night when we were there.

Little tiny cafe in Manchester. Just behind Piccadilly.

36 back Piccadilly. Tiny has about 10 seats

Used to 2/3 times a week when worked in mcr. It’s no frills very authentic. Very very good

Chicken karahi , chicken/lamb spinach and the chicken tikka masala. All superb

Bindi gosht as well is excellent. To be honest I’ve never had a bad curry there. Took 10 home take away for the freezer on last visit. £5per portion.

Not even thinly veiled.....I'm just about to bugger off to Sri Lanka for 2 weeks. I'll hopefully be feasting on plenty quality curries over the next fortnight

Can’t be worse than India surely? I was shiteing like a tap for 6 weeks after getting back

Spice Island, Tong Moor Road is as good an Indian as you will get.

It’s a fair drive for me but in the past I’ve ordered a lot and froze it.

Great food and some unusual dishes.

Tried this and that cafe in NQ the other week. Very nice food and portion size for less than £5 for some dinner whilst shopping in Manc

Went in there once and there was a rack on the wall with a good few Bolton programmes from the late 90s in it. They made a good read whilst wolfing a curry down.

Was in India for 6 days.

Spent 5 on the toilet.

Airborne bacteria.

The place is one big shithole.

Went to Sri Lanka in 2007 for 10 days - ate curry curry every day, lunch & dinner - didn't have the squits/dicky stomach.

Some of you lot need to man up.......

Done india

Didn't get the shits (no more than any other holiday where you eat and drink copious amounts for two weeks)

Only ate meat in what looked to be reputable restaurants

One place looked ropey so went with the veg option and turned out to be one of the best curries I've ever had
