February 18, 20188 yr Its the new PPI. Have you had cavity wall isulation? Is your house now fucking riddled with damp? Think Smiffs or BCG would be best to advise though.
February 18, 20188 yr My architect mate says don’t do it I concur. I have it and being removed in spring, the gable wall should defo never had it in the first place.

K rend is good but you need a good dry spell when it's applied, any rain/moisture on it will RUIN it. Also the colour pigments fade quite a bit over time.

February 20, 20188 yr I'm not an expert on this as it's not really structural but.. The cavity is the last line of defence if water gets in. It's bloody difficult to get buildings 100% watertight, the cavity will redirect water via the tray at the bottom. Now if you fill the cavity with insulation, water that would otherwise leave the building has a pathway inside. So good or bad idea, it depends.
Folk keep telling me it's free.
