Cos he can’t defend? I mean he was superb. One could also argue his lack of defensive ability cost us two goals and Forest should have got one first ten minutes when Little also went missing.

Who cares? Little is our Cafu and we stayed up!

A few beers in and I'm struggling to believe what's just happened.

Goes without saying that I'm gutted to miss days like these - a massive reward for all but especially those who've been putting their hard earned in through the shite this year!

Cracking open the Bruichladdich Ten - do occasions get more special than this?  Spider, I hope you're right . . .

I'm predicting a marked peak in sales of Alka Seltzer come Monday morning . . . enjoy

One could, not today though Shirley?

Parky has taken us up and kept us up. In the circumstances and unbelievable achievement. Mistakes have been made. But no way are they sacking him after that. Perhaps today shows Parky is right. We are a different team with a target. Most are. I think he might feel he should have been braver and picked Wilbraham over Le Fondre earlier.

no he needs to go

Could have been written by me. Love it gonzo.

Hopefully makes all the driving from Blackpool to Tuesday night shite worth it!

And me, my lad seen some shit in last 8 years but last season was ace and today topped that so pleased for him for sticking with it. Edited by Mounts Kipper

Mission accomplished this season, he’s done exactly what was hoped for and expected but even as one of his biggest supporters I’d be quite happy if we shook hands and walked away. Need someone else mind.

The longer it goes on the more I can’t believe it.

I fell lucky to support a club that has those moments.

The fact we did it against all the odds makes it so much sweeter.

We didn’t but survival.

We didn’t play people off the park.

We earnt it the Bolton way.

Just like Europe where we bullied teams off the park.

Today we had wheater upfront for 15 minutes.

Everyone outside of Bolton in the footballing world is talking about what an amazing job Parky has done. Think it’s time you reflect on whether they are all wrong or whether perhaps you need to tailor your expectations to our situation. When he came in championship survival seemed miles and miles away. To do it in two years, however we’ve done it, means he stays. Without doubt.

You wrote something a few years ago, along the lines of “ that moment” describing how it feels When a goal goes in.

The 3rd was “that moment” you described

Fucked if I can find it like but was definitely you :D

Edited ever so slightly :D....

if they could bottle or put into to tablet for 'that feeling' it would blow all other intoxicants out of the water.

the feeling in which i speak about is that unique feeling only a follower of a football team can feel.

that feeling when wilbraham popped that goal in today....that precise explosion within your inner-self.

not the leaping around after the goal....that very second when the ball goes in...

nothing else matters in the whole world for that split second.

you are deaf and dumb...an atomic bomb wouldnt register in your mind.

then its afterwards you think....this is why we do it.

this is why we spends fortunes on going week in week out

suffer the dross and shame of getting walloped 5-0 at home by your most hated rivals.

spend days and hours in dispair in discussion on here and elsewhere over team selections and where it all went wrong

spend days in a bad mood because we got battered.

but then one solitary split second of euphoria....makes it all fucking worth it.

45 years and never seen owt like that

Ever

I was saying this. Not quite as long as you but in 3 decades I’ve not experienced a situation where on 85 minutes I’m not even thinking of much other than drowning my sorrows and dusting off the map to league one again. I wasn’t even annoyed we’d given it everything and it just hadn’t happened.

5 minutes later we were winning and Preston scored meaning we only had to hold out for injury time.

For the first ever time watching football I had a bit of dust in the eyes. Must be blowing in from Sahara or something. To be destined for league one without any doubt and snatch it back like that is something I’ve never seen before.

don’t start all this again, we made fucking hard work of it should of been kick about today with nothing to play for. I will celebrate job done but fully expect a new manager come August

They used to say that Alonso couldn’t defend.

You will be disappointed then. We’ve made hard work of it but haven’t paid a fee for a player since 2015. And have a wage budget the same as Burton’s. Remember that some of that budget a decent chunk of it is paying for Amos and Derik. One not here the other absolute shite.

Staying up at all in this league is a miracle. Yes Parky blew up in the past 6 weeks. But he got it right today when it mattered most. And as he says risked the fans ire with Wilbraham but he was spot on.

Sacking him now would be madness. If some Sheikh wanting to spend billions rocks up and wants a change then fair play. Otherwise don’t think there will be many takers certainly very few better options.

As secret mod I am banning any football discussions for the rest of tonight.

Let’s all just be happy, chill the fuck out and raise a glass to what is one of the greatest turn arounds and celebrations any of us have ever witnessed watching bolton.

All the talk, all the debates, let’s leave it for another day.

Basque in the sunshine boys, this is our night.

Glasses raised......

Parkinson has done a brilliant job with the resources available. I really can’t see him taking us any further though. If investment is forthcoming, then he’ll have to go.

Just like Warnock, Has done a great job but someone else needs to come in to take the club forward.
