On paper yes but not sure Brazil will do well in Russia. France a good shout though.

In reality, I think Brazil, Germany, France and Spain are very close to each other in ability and pretty far ahead of everybody else, I'm not sure any team outside them 4 will make the final, let alone win it

Pretty much all their squad play in Europe, 2 in Russia even, just don't see that as an excuse/issue

 

They got dicked 7-1 on home turf in the last one so it's not like the hemisphere matters

That 7-1 still astounds me. They were a wreck Brazil, I remember them still looking completely shell shocked in the 3/4 game as well.

I have Egypt, Denmark, Switzerland, Mexico and Poland all to get out the group's at nearly 23/1.

 

Looked decent until Salah popped his should out last night.

Can i bet that England won't win it?

Groups D and H are the hardest to call. I think the Argies could be a shock early exit. Anyone of the four could qualify from that group.

Nah, I didn't realise they were that shite, when someone claims a team as 'worse than Scotland' you have to admit it's a hard to believe yardstick they're proposing.

 

I always thought any Russian progress would be due to means foul rather than fair though, the threat of gulag over the players, perhaps? A tax-free gas well apiece for semis? Or both, stick and carrot?
