November 20, 20187 yr The other side to that especially family is if no matter what you try he won't take the help and do what he needs to do himself to get sorted, you need to walk away for your own health. You can be there to support and help but if the person doesn't want to help themselves as well there's not a lot can be done.

The buck has to stop with the person at the centre, unfortunately, personal responsibility and avoidance of adopting a 'poor me' attitude are the foundation stones of recovery and continued wellbeing...
