Perhaps all the dieticians have got it wrong when they say if by exercise you use more calories than you eat you'll lose weight.

Maybe the new fad diet should be "If you shit out more than you scoff in, you'll lose weight"

Worked for me before Christmas. Had the shits and lost a stone in 4 days as I couldn't drink or eat anything without being on the bog ten mins later, it was ace.

It’s days like this that make or break it for me. So tempted with a few in the bay early doors then river wyre or summet for a nice meal in front a roaring fire and a gallon of ale.

instead its the gym followed my some meat and vegetables and pot of tea :(

shite.

4lbs lost in just over 2 weeks. Pretty much all by changing my diet and cutting down on booze. Only done one 1 mile swim. Happy with that progress. Ramping the swimming up to three 1-milers per week from tomorrow. 13 lbs to go to hit my initial target

Been over your way with the dog today

Cracking job they've done with the prom

Would've been better if it wasn't raining and I hadn't forgotten a coat

Polo wasn't ideal attire

I was trying to get my bearings

Went most saturdays as a kid when we were playing away

Parked near to knuckleheads...who in the right mind came up with that

Has all the metalwork replaced what used to be concrete with gaps in it leading to a sheer drop?

Or was that nearer to the school?

Yeah that bit near there used to be just one massive drop then a little walkway. Sea used to flood over it all the time. That works carried right from shore road all the way to the school at rossall, not sure if they’ve finished it all the way up yet mind. Looks bob on though I’ll give em that.

Felt bad on them that took on knuckleheads. It was the old ice rink and they were on to a great idea. A big play centre with rides etc and bar a grill thing upstairs and big glass balcony over looking it all. But they fucked it. Stupid name, the bar and grill never took off and it was freezing in there.

Think the gaff is empty now, but crying out for something good...

Made a big step in the process last night....did 11km in the shitty wind. Enjoyed it but it was a battle to take the plunge and get out when it’s chucking it down and blowing a hooley

As kids, my gran had a caravan on Broadwater originally and then Cala Gran and we used to walk with her from there across to Rossall School and then straight down the seafront to Cleveleys. Bit of lunch and some time in the amusements and then a walk back.

Probably about 5/6 miles total. Kids don't know they're born nowadays on their 5-star All Inclusive holidays abroad.

Good effort. When can we start calling you Little E?

Mixing up gym, park run, local runs and home workouts. But still drinking. And eating snacks in between meals. Need to cut those.

Made a belting Malaysian curry on Saturday afternoon - problem was the remaining 3/4 bag of roasted peanuts needed eating.... so been working my way through them each evening!

Have seen these, look good. Was asked to the December run, but, err, couldn't be arsed!

TBH I need some new trainers, my current ones are totally shot to pieces and I'm doing myself harm. Hopefully get to ASICS at Cheshire Oaks this weekend and get sorted.

that myfitness pal app is doing me a treat - it's just technically calorie counting but really made us aware of what I need to do, and probably more importantly, not do if I want to lose weight

down to 13st 8 today, down from 13st 10 on the 9th - was 14st 4 on NYD

think this is the "lightest" I've been in a long time

going to celebrate with a couple of beers later (now decided Thurs-Sat are my drinking days)

Anyone else seen the new diet recommendations?

14g of red meat per day.

500g veg.

250g whole grains.

To protect the planet from methane.

Dale Vince will be tugging his tofu todger!

The reality is we're going to seriously think about how we effectively feed the 11.2 billion people who are projected to be living in 2100. I imagine GMO's are going to be one of the only viable options.

There's enough conflict in the world to suggest there isn't meant to be that many people.

You're right about food in general, additionally, as fossil fuels gradually become non cost effective, unless new means of superfast transport are developed, then nations will have to become a little more self supporting.

However that's achieved.

Enjoy all the weight loss tv this time of year. Some crazy shit out there. Like eating a full tin of sweet corn before every meal. But not chewing it. Swallowing it all whole. Bonkers!

Yeah I quite enjoy those, especially How to Lose Weight Well. Drinking liquid charcoal for a fortnight. Nah.

Just gone on the scales, lost 2.2 pounds this week (no idea how given the excesses of Bristol last weekend) so lost 12.2 pounds overall since New Year. Another 5 pounds to go before I match my previous lowest weight. About to go for my first run since just before Christmas so this might end up being my last post!
