You’re almost there sluffy although it could be either way.

FV - insufficient upfront cash for Kenneth so he challenges as secured creditor

Other preferred bidder - PBP refuse to accept it as secured creditor as they want to force hotel to get the club too

but which one is it? I will let you decide and casino reveal all shortly maybe?

Thanks.

If the Kamani has been leaked as the Administrators recommendation then it most be PBP appealing.

Not sure though what grounds they have unless they believe the Administrator has acted in someway improperly in carrying out this Administration and it has detrimentally effected their position.

I'm out of my depth to know if the actions of one Administration could fatally effect the outcome of another Administration and by doing so be detrimental to its creditors in such a way to have a bearing on the judges consideration in coming to his decision?

If Kamani win prevents FV from completing on buying the club and the Administrator liquidates, then the footballing creditors have had their position as footballing creditors adversely effected.

No doubt Appleton would support PBP's appeal.

That's my thinking

Not linked sluffy. Separate businesses. Each admin needs to act in bets interest of the creditors of that entity to which he’s appointed only. He has no duty if care to anyone Else

Fair enough, I did think it was unlikely but as I said I was out of my depth knowledge wise.

At least if PBP are appealing the Administrators recommendation, then it isn't just all about them finding the best way to recover their money and walking away.  They must feel there is more to the situation then exiting without a loss - hopefully the survival of the club is really a big part of their strategy.

I guess if they lost they could still do a deal with Kamani to buy the club as Preferred Bidders already and sell on immediately to Kamani as at least the stadium comes with the club and the Kamani's could complete the deal FV had initially lined up for themselves.  Saves the delay and uncertainty of the Kamani's buying the stadium in a liquidation sale I suppose?

Don't know the costs v risk ratio's would be favourable though.

I still would have thought it would have been wiser for all to wait to the Bassini court hearing to be determined on the 2nd September if it in fact was, as that removes a great deal of uncertainty looming over everything - who knows maybe its Bassini who has thrown in the perfection of appointment hand grenade (if one has indeed been thrown in?) if he's claiming the hotel Administrator does not have the power to sign off the hotel to a new owner - because he believes he already owns it?

Can anyone tell me where Talksport, the two Baronnesses, Kieran Maguire or any newspaper in the land has corrected the esteemed Simon Jordan's misstatement of the facts, as reported in the Beeno?

Talksport are driven by listener phone-ins. I assume you have been attempting, daily, to get on-air to correct him ?

And if not, may I ask why not, as it so obviously a bugbear of yours.

Or do you find it easier to complain, rather than do ?

Anyone else concerned that if the Kamani backed group get the hotel, that they won’t want the club and we either a) end up in liquidation or b) we end up with Bassini?

Possibly pal but we are all speculating really. Hopefully some clarity shortly and then some action and we get the whole thing sorted and our club back on the road to health

Absolutely agree.

Dark days but we must get through them somehow.

My grandfather and father supported the club before me and I in turn took my cousins and nephews to the games when they were little and now my nephew takes his son to watch them still (they were Season Ticket holders last year and will be again once the mess is sorted) - so that's five generations of my family dating back to before the first world war!

It can't end now.

Bolton Wanderers forever.

Can't see the logic in buying a hotel then liquidating the club. Then you would own a hotel attached to a defunct stadium in a town where you will instantly become hated. Not the best business plan.

They then buy the ground out of liquidation, then develop the land, loads of money in it for them if that's their plan.

Been a Trotter 48 years. My Dad took me when I was 4. Used to sit me in the Wing Stand and feed me fisherman's friends as "sweets" and if I wanted a drink it was his his Rum and coffee (he was an ex Para and Miner from Bongs)..

Today I had to visit Citys training ground for work. I was blown away....the U23 / City ladies team stadium is nothing short of amazing. As is the rest of the complex ( robot lawn mowers - I kid you not).

Got back in my car and sat thinking, as I pulled out an Audi ( racing type car - fuck knows what, I dont do cars, I do Adidas, I'm a Bolton fan) pulled in, I let him passed and didn't recognise the driver.. it was probably some U23 player. I stopped again and lit a fag and shook my head.....

This kid in a car ( dont begrudge him anything, lads done well), will never know a shift our kids "were forced too" put in on Saturday.

Our beautiful game is so, so very fucked its possibly broken for good. I dont really care for Bury (they're like Wigan but I have more respect for them, because of my age), we cant complain because we had our time in the sun.

BUT - if this is how it is. The modern game wont last long.

Not without Bury, Notts County, Coventry, Us and all other clubs tettering on the edge...

Rant over

Well said pal, well said

Went to city u23s v Bolton u23s in that cup final a few years back. We won 1 nil and my city mate was saying even then academy lads who will never make it anywhere near the first team are on £5k a week.

Mental.

Surely there are a lot better places to buy land though?

Right by a train station, motorway junction and one of the biggest retail parks in the country? Prime real estate.

All comes out in the wash tomorrow.

@reluctantnicko any news on the hotel court case result? Or will it not be known until tomorrow?
