Remember that 17p some of WW's creative thinkers thought I was trying to nail? Its now got up to c.£13million.

I'm probably teaching my granny to suck eggs, but the smallest denomination that's easy to nail would be a fiver. Below that, it's more hassle than it's worth.

For anyone thinking of trying, apart from the obvious difficulties you'd use at least 88 less nails per £ taking the fiver option instead of the 17p route.

Trust me ... took me ages, and I'm knackered now.

WW's creative thinkers are not that daft, they know that penny coins are too hard to trail or nail. I reckon they'd figured out it was a cheque for 17p.

Needless to say, you had the last laugh....

It's my recollection that your questions were centred around £3m unsecured to Moonshift on top of the widely acknowledged £5m secured debt.

The kind of numbers being talked about now appear to be linked to the factoring of transfer fees in and EFL monies.

This chap has offered my buyers £2M not to call in the shares. Was sent via email, without NDA. No proof of funds. Read into that what you will.

Sounds like EFL have seen this and what that bloke on Twitter is saying with a lot of “ show and tell” which should resulatly not allow Bassini to proceed @Howardroark

I would think so, because they really shouldn't now anything about the other party's bid, if they both have NDA, but I will be happy to be corrected

Oh wow!

so looks like desperation from Mr Bassini!

I’m still liking the secrecy of Howard’s team, not leaking anything to the press!

Jesus. That’s an interesting development. Don’t accept! I want the mystery bidders!

Are you working with him?

I think the EFL are being clever here for once.

By asking for more info on the Bassini bid, they are technically stalling it so time runs out and Howard’s team swoop in on Tuesday.

They cannot be seen to say no to Bassini as he is ‘the only option’ currently with Anderson as that would mean we go to the wall and they won’t want that on their conscience, and technically bu delaying they aren’t approving or saying no.

Like Howard said, the EFL won’t accept bassini while the other bid is in play, & by stalling bassini they are allowing the other team to take control on Tuesday so in theory are making the decision on the next owners themselves because clearly Ken won’t sell directly to Howard’s team because they haven’t matched the price.

And by Bassini’s team offering £2m they know it’s gonna go passed Tuesday so they lose the club to Howard’s team.

Cheers pal .....I'm sure all will be revealed in due course hopefully with Howards lot owning the club

Could Ken stay at the club with Bassini backing him for the short term to gazump the mystery bidders. And then in time slowly drift away from the club leaving Bassini in sole charge? Is that an option if Bassini pays off the debts this week???

EFL Articles Appendix 3

In the articles they have this as an explanation in regards to conviction (thus disqualifying someone becoming an owner)

‘Conviction’ means a formal finding made by a court of competent jurisdiction that a person is guilty beyond reasonable doubt of a criminal offence, whether that finding was made before or after these Rules came into effect, and whether or not that finding is considered to be final pending resolution of any appeal against that finding. The word ‘Convicted’ shall be construed accordingly.

My understanding is that Bassini is currently challenging a conviction that he owes a friend some rental money, so in my mind, the EFL cannot allow him to become an owner/director due to the above. I may be clutching at straws, but it seems faily explanatory

I think you are giving the EFL vary to much credit

I'm reading that as positive from the perspective of your buyers who are probably quietly amused by this development. Or am I being overly optimistic there?

That’s a civil conviction, not a criminal one.

Howard,

What was your buyers reaction to the £2m offer?
