He's right though Chris, if that is the pertinent point you have taken from Howard's posts, then not only have you started to acquire his PR skills, you have missed the main point totally.

You do know that Bruce Willis's character is dead in The Sixth Sense don't you?

I think you will find that I was amongst the first, if not the first, to suss out Howard's little game.

Some of the crap managers mentioned didn’t have a pot to wee in and were left with kids to work with.

Freedman was out and out dreadful while feathering Crystal Palace’s bank account. Garvin, McCarthy and that crap right back - Butterfield? We’re particularly unforgivable

Needless to say you had the last laugh.

But that's not what you pulled Stevie up for.

You're so cool

If it hadn't been for Howard, how many of us would have had any inkling of the extent to which Ken Anderson seems to have put his family's financial wellbeing at risk in keeping BWFC afloat whilst the hunt for a more lasting solution to the club's financial diffficulties continued?

Is that what Howard intended, whilst weaving his little web? Probably not.

Will he be bothered? Probably not

How on earth has he put his family’s wellbeing at risk?? Bore off Custard.

Howard hasn’t gone, he’s just watching from a distance.. then will ride back in on White horseback on Wednesday with a BWFC flag on a spear raised aloft with Ken’s head on the top of it after recalling his shares.

Coyle had the biggest wage bill of any Bolton manager

Just saying

I'll confess I still don't have any inkling of this and I'd be grateful if anyone could enlighten me.

I read in Howard's posts about income from EFL or player payments being factorised, with the finance company taking a slice and paying the money into ICI, leaving the debt with BWFC so that this showed as intercompany loans. That in the city prospectus these were supposedly being written off but the reality was far different and there was therefore additional debt loaded onto the club which had not been apparant beforehand?

Also that KA had ensured he was a secured creditor and thus in a far stronger position than other creditors should the club be liquidated. This seemed to match the statements by the Forest Green chairman.

There was also mention that Howard's consortium couldn't do a deal with Ken because it would require them to agree to things which their legal advisors wouldn't sign off on thus their direct approach to Moonshift.

What am I missing?

Sorry, my thoughts on good/bad management is based more on results rather than some statistic based on a formula of results/money = manegerial prowess.

So I suppose that makes McFarland the worst? He probably was come to think of it

Half a job though. Him and Todd had a hell of an act to follow.

What are you missing?

Well you are missing £3million to start with. Eddie didn't just lend Ken the £5million to pay off Blumarble, we learned via Howard that he'd lent him another £3m previous to that. The £5million was secured against club property but the £3million wasn't so Ken will have to find this out of his family finances unless he can get someone else to pay it.

Where did the £3m go? It didn't really suit Howard to say much about that but the club plainly had a significant cash flow deficit prior to the Madine sale so it probably went mainly on the biggest expense. i.e. wages.

Lets just park it there for the mo. There are some folk who seem unable to grasp the simplest concepts so lets not confuse them with the factoring saga. We can come back to that

Let’s get this straight Custard (or Ken or whatever you’re called)

Ken wouldn’t have done that without personal gain and you don’t believe for one second do you that he has used any of his own money without taking it back in the 3 years?

He personally borrowed £5m from Moonshift and then stuck it in the ICI account and loaned it back to the club as if it was his money as a secured creditor. This is the £5m he would get if he liquidated us, the same £5m he borrowed himself but yet the club owe it him! How does that work?

Oh and the bonuses he paid himself, let’s not forget that.

Like you say, probably best to park it there as you’re not grasping this.

This thread as descended into what reads like a conversation in lunatic asylum.

I've come to the conclusion that Bolton have either the cleverest bunch of fans on earth or just capable of bullshit on an industrial scale...there's those that understand, those that say they understand and then by far the biggest bunch, those with a fuckin throbbing headache and not a bastard clue. Good luck today in what promises to be a welcome relief from all this shite.

'unable to grasp the simplest concepts'. A good lie down might work in some cases but there's no hope for some.

That's probably the case with any large group of fans, but we do seem to have an unusually large number of forensic accountants on here!

Great response, blatantly avoided the point because you have zero idea.

Gordon Bennett, Traf, you don't have to be a forensic accountant to figure out that if Ken owes Eddie's estate 8 million quid that's 3 million more than Eddie lent him to pay off the Blumarble loan.

But do they all have 6 years experience?

Just seen Ken and Lee sat outside Wilko's with a dog. To be fair Lee plays the flute like a professional!

The late Jimmy Armfield was manager the year I qualified and we came 1st in Div 3, so its a bit more than 6.
