October 21, 20196 yr I can't imagine it being a problem moving forward. FV will sort it, they will have inherited a million and one things which need sorting. The whole club is on 1 almighty pre-season getting ready to start next season in L2 on an even keel
October 21, 20196 yr Got to be said, the club has explained the problem but don't seem to have actually apologised. Appalling really.

They probably couldn't check. I guess they could have checked who had full payments last season - but given the mess.....no guarantees that was an easy task.

It should really have been flagged up by the banks when the payments were applied for last week so there was at least ample time for the club to prepare for what was to come, particularly as I expect most who cancelled their D/D will have done so directly with the bank without necessarily informing the club who would have been none the wiser.

I do think it’s on fans to make sure that they check it themselves.

I did everything reasonable, a day in advance. And still they offered no sympathy or apology until a third of a way through the game. An hour after I got there

October 22, 20196 yr So the people who couldn’t get me were people who didn’t renew and then said nothing when they received a ticket?

I rang the club when tickets came out and said need to set up DD up, they said it was ok i then got a letter confirming it was done with a schedule of payments. The ticket worked for Blackpool game. How then the fact the club did not take the payment they had confirmed they were taking is my fault is bizarre logic. The club have cocked up, it is one of those things, they now need to say sorry and explain what people need to do. You saw the size of the queue it was not a few it was hundreds. Your logic is like saying if you are going to forest away without a ticket you should check beforehand if you can pay by card............

October 22, 20196 yr its clear theres been some issues like i said at the time, my history said i was paying by DD ive not done that for years

When I got to ticket office Saturday they said only payment was for this year. But that would mean relying on their records which are clearly not great ! As I say the club now needs to let affected know what to do to get payments going again. Edited October 22, 20196 yr by Ani

It seems you did your best to get the DD set up, it’s possible the club also did their best and possibly it’s a banking issue, given what you’ve said it would be a good idea for the club to clarify what has happened. I didn’t blame anyone else for Notts Forest not having a credit card facility, clearly my fault for not having the cash, thanks for the cash interest free loan. 👍

There were hundreds affected Saturday. Let’s say 250 (I think probably more than that) at £400 per ticket. That is £100k revenue at risk. The club just need to get some info about what happens next. Hoping customers who have been messed about will just sort it themselves is no way to run a business.
October 22, 20196 yr Author To be fair. Just got a letter from club. All sorted in 5 minutes on phone. Several hundred were affected. Edited October 22, 20196 yr by Ani
