How many time do I need to say I do not have a plan. I have no idea of the complexity
My point is people who are experts in this area should provide those numbers and this drives a delivery plan.
This plan could have produced as an outline 7 months ago. This would highlight the shortfalls. We then either close the gap on the shortfall by either    Training folk or looking at improving process so as Kent says could someone else draw the vaccine or do the paperwork ?
To get to a point where we have millions of doses sat on the shelves with people dying in the country and Elsewhere is not acceptable.

As a side note of all the people on here who would give the Govt a pass on this thought you would not be one.

Exactly, and yet you starting mentioning figures this morning about how.many people should be seen without any of this knowledge. Which was my point.

I'm.not giving the gvt a pass on this, I've said it unhelpful.running figures from a place of little knowledge is that I think those at the front end are getting the sharp end of the stick.

Also, whilst I'm.happy to call any gvt into.account when I feel.i have enough information to do so, on this I'm not sure many of us actually do. If there are failings, I'd like to hear them from medical professionals, and on this I think we can seems its more.complex than it appears initially.

They've had at least 6 months to prepare plans

* Plan A - Single dose vaccine, unlimited supply, best case scenario

* Plan B - Double dose vaccine, unlimited supply, decent scenario

* Plan C - Double dose vaccine, supply problematic, worst case scenario

A government of the 5/6th richest country on earth, a country that wins wars, has the most innovative brains at its disposal, should be able to make 3 plans based on the above. It should have had these ready by xmas given it's the biggest crisis we've faced since the Germans had us in their crosshairs.

I get that there are complications.

But - and I mean absolutely no disrespect whatsoever to them here - if Casino and Kent have known about these complications for months, I'd be expecting the government to be aware of them and have come up with solutions or contingencies.

At the very least, they could be honest.

Difficult to staff up quickly after years of under investment......

Thanks. And it's 'you're', by the way.

Soz, but open goal and all that, be rude not to.😀

It is sorry, not soz

Own goal and all that 💣 💥

I think when the public is being asked to make huge sacrifices to their way of life in an effort to curb tranamission, it's reasonable for people to expect to be provided with as much information as possible on the vaccination process.

I'd consider it part of the social contract.

You've put that in response to a post that states the number.

Soz is a word. It appears in the dictionary.

If they can find £12 billion for a track and trace system that is just a portakabin staffed by a dozen teenagers making 4 calls a day, they can find and train people to jab arms.

Your point that you keep repeating is ignoring the fact that I have said what seems like a million times since were just highlighting that maths to work out how many people we need is simple. We have a given number of vaccines (although that is being moved as we have exchanged tedious replies). If you know how long the task takes to get to the resource required is easy. (To be clear that does not mean knowing how long the task takes is easy but it is a piece of work that should have been done by the experts) and then the question is do we have enough people.

I keep asking but you keep not replying if we have 2m vaccines available how many do you expect us to administer ?

Are you saying they haven't? Just to be clear.

This is the very issue. Where is this coming from?

Who has said there are insufficient people available to do the work?

I've seen nothing, other than idle chatter on here.

Anyway, bbc saying its lockdown from tonight, same as before.

Soz, I never knew that, only a prick would use it though 😉

But Hancock has said 2m won’t be delivered for a while.

Boris had said 10s of millions by March.

My point is that 2m has been mentioned for a while so if we are not doing 2m we deserve an explanation. Say AZ have production issues. But what I will struggle with is if we are told we do not have enough bums on seats. If administering takes longer to protect patients no issue. If we have 8 foot of snow no problem.

ignore him mate, said the same shite on the other thread relentlessly and he daren't go near it now, especially with all the decent news being posted there daily which dispels his myths.

Same with the other yellow one.

Quite. They've said 2m- can't do that yet as insufficient vaccine. But when there is, they should be hitting it if they believe its feasible. Just like they did with testing numbers- remember to 500,000 by end of October?

If not, then clearly they have some explaining to do. But until we get up and running, there is nowt to moan about is there.

If it does turn out that too few were available, fine, kick off.

No this has snowballed from me saying the Govt need to produce a plan of anticipated numbers so people can plan accordingly.

Assume you are in agreement that if we are not doing 2m we should have an explanation ?

this crossed with your reply to previous. Think we are in same place.

As above, yes.

But give the nhs chance to get on first.

I think this is fair enough in light of the CEO of AZ saying they expect to produce 2M doses by mid-January and production is on target with the agreed timescales.

If there's valid explanation as to why the Government's view is different than the manufacturer's then, fine, just tell us. People are being asked to essentially put their lives on hold/jobs at risk. I think they deserve to know.

Well spotted sir, I can self deprecate and know when I'm beaten 😉 😜
