That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

Depending on the school/college and what they now want to do, I'm assuming there will have to be some form of internal assessment that will contribute to a centre assessed grade per Subject, will await that prick Williamsons announcement in the next couple of weeks.

Mocks already taken will contribute, so hopefully he has done well in them.

Still waiting some results, but 8/9 in all apart from maths. Some issues with it for some reason- gets a bit stressed and frustrated when it doesn't come easy.

Couple of observations, does not being able to work at home make you a key worker and able to send your kid to school?

And 2, why do nurseries remain open while schools shut?

Question one the answer is no.

Doesn't affect me, but its gonna fuck quite a few of our staff up

Even heard a shout for furloughing staff who need to stay off to look after their kids

Nice idea, but who is going to do their work, sales/accounts/ shop floor, whatever

Smaller size classrooms? Less kids?

😂😂. He will have a nanny subsidized by northern tax payers

For clarity; do the cognoscenti agree that this is/is not a lockdown

Have you stabbed her gerbil?

It is. But in the first “lockdown” you could be furloughed for child care reasons if you remember. It was an addition  iirc so not all is lost for them.

Should be far better prepared this time round for it

@Casino I’m completely guessing here but does benefits towards childcare apply to nurseries would it not balls it up?

February half-term finishes on the 15th Feb, in essence it's the whole half-term off.

Gotta feeling depening on infection numbers that it will be extended until at least the end of February.

Just had a look ours finish Friday 12th back on 22nd

Wait a minute. We’re going to be vaccinating 13.6 million people by mid February - but haven’t we been told that decent supply wouldn’t be available until around that time...? I’m confused

We will have already done over 1m by now won’t we ?

I dont remember that

I thought employers were asked to take into account child care when deciding who to furlough

You might be right

Our manufacturing will remain at 100% and anybody not coming in will need to be working

Same for my 7 year old lad.

Luckily for us we can still pay a grand for the 3 year old to go to nursery so it will be nowhere near as bad as the first lockdown.

Every cloud...

You can legally furlough employees if they have childcare issues

Fanny5 had a situation like this and he found out he could furlough the staff member due to childcare issues. Also recall someone else having this as well

OK, like I say, I just didn't remember

But anyway, we need em working

COVID is great for us
