That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

  • My uncle lost his battle to this in Royal Bolton this morning, so he will be one of today’s numbers.  last rites over the phone held by a nurse with no family there. made an exception yester

  • I’ve sat with my mum who is slipping away, literally breathing her last today. She idolises the Queen, and whilst she didn’t in all likelihood hear that, I know she would have loved every single

Elite sports continue, that's Wanderers fucked, nothing elite about us at the moment.

Exams are indeed cancelled.

Although the current January exams will go ahead, so that's me still in work for a couple of weeks.

If we are searching for the positives that’s three 👍.

Very pleased the exams are cancelled, the young people will now hopefully get the grades they deserve

Wife's a TA in a primary school and she's in tomorrow looking after key worker kids with no PPE like she did last time and I can't wfh so I'm in tomorrow.

No change apart from I don't have to make the kid's butties before work and this is a lockdown?

Are you sure it’s not Little Whitt? 😂

Wait a minute. We’re going to be vaccinating 13.6 million people by mid February - but haven’t we been told that decent supply wouldn’t be available until around that time...? I’m confused

Won't be mocks. Not enough consistency to use mocks. Won't be CAGS either.

They will form part of the overall assessment, as will completed/ongoing course work.

Nothing else to go on other than that is there.

FFS, can’t catch a break, can we?!

Just told my lad same with online lessons, he did mocks in November was due again in January I hope the January ones get scrapped now.

My lad kept going on about another set of mocks- what's all that about?

Anyway, can't see them doing them now, as they may as well just do the finals.

They have to start testing to eliminate who have built up immunity for starters, then keep testing.

The mocks in November were mock mocks. 😂

30m til we can even start to think about moving towards normality. Do the math troops

I don’t have the stats to hand, but that will probably account for 80% or so of hospitalisations and deaths.

So, by the first week of March, Allah willing, hospitalisations and deaths will have collapsed.

That should enable significant relaxations.

I disagree because you haven't got a clue, no more than anyone else and as I've said its unhelpful, back of an envelope supposition. End of.

I'm.not saying we shouldn't use them.all, I disagree with the simplicity of your maths.

But I have said numerous times there were not meant to be actuals.

All I was saying if we have 2m vaccines it would be crap if we were not resourced up to use them and to use them we need to understand what capacity we have.

300,000 vaccinations needed per day if we start tomorrow. So far we’ve been averaging around 35,000 a day

Not really relevant though current figures are they.

Need to increase that about 8 fold or so with the addition of az vaccine. Be reet.

I am sure 15m accounts for 99% of deaths. Not sure on hospitalisation.

Daughters school completely closed while they decide what to do

So, if you're a nurse with a 6 year old, you're having a day off

The manufacturers claim they can supply at least two million doses per week from mid-January.

Not sure when kids feb h/t is but it’s looking like March at the earliest

Couple of observations, does not being able to work at home make you a key worker and able to send your kid to school?

And 2, why do nurseries remain open while schools shut?

Aye.

Fucking weird. Exam fatigue at that rate, they'd be totally pissed off and bored by finals time.

Hopefully Swanny will feel a little better- Still plenty to do, but fewer cunts to deal with.
