I hadn't realised with all that's been going on that 50,000 people have died of covid in the last 11 weeks.

Over 8,500 in the last week.

So imagine every single BWFC season ticket holder in the stadium at once and them being wiped out before the next game.

That's really quite dreadful.

The arguments will go on for years, and it will not look good for Boris I'm afraid.

The vaccine is everything now. Absolutely everything.

Aye. History won't be kind.

When we needed a Churchill, we got the nodding dog.

I couldn't give a shit about what Keir said/did etc : he's not running the country.

Sticking up for a guy culpable in over 100k of deaths by saying someone else would have done worse isn't a good look.

Who is sticking up for him?

Your politics might be in the way?

Fucking hell

My politics?
I wouldn't trust any of them to run a bath.

You were the one who countered my criticiam of Boris by mentioning someone else who has no control/influence over the situation.

This is by no means sticking up for Boris but other European countries Have seen a similar rise in deaths over the last 12 month compared to previous years, yet their Covid deaths are lower.  Are we still recording covid deaths differently to other countries?

I suspect that however we record them, Boris and co. wouldn't actively seek to allow the number to be too high.

If anything, most scientific data suggests that the true figure is nearer 120,000.

It's too many. And now we have a years worth of hindsight, you have to say the dithering around lockdowns is the biggest contributing factor.

The population have behaved in the main, but we also have more than our fair share of utter fucking plankton wandering around denying everything, refusing to wear masks/shields and generally being cunts too.

There's something rather murky about the argument with zeneca and the EU.

We may sneer and crow about being ahead, but the EU can make life just as difficult for us at a time when we are supposed to be building bridges.

Hooray.

Another 1700 deaths to lay at China's Boris's door

They’re supposed to be our friends, funny way of showing it IF they stop Pfizer vaccines as they’re threatening.

Boris and his merry men could literally pop round, give ya wives and kids a dry one, and you still wouldnt find fault

If the shoe was on the other foot, I would absolutely expect the UK to do the same and look after its own interests.

They are simply looking after number 1, a position you have consistently endorsed over the last few years.

Surely you aren't criticising the EU for putting the EU first?

You couldn't wait to point out their folly yesterday.

It is, of course, what it is.

UK: "We have a vaccine, it's all ours"

EU: "Can you send the bit we ordered?

UK: "NO"

UK: "Don't forget to send our order though. We are Britain."

EU: "Yeah, about that...."

Yes I’d go with most of that, lockdown was a big factor yet most other European countries who had stronger lockdowns are also seeing massive corona deaths. Obviously lockdowns through the majority of Europe Weren’t strong enough and lifted to early. I suspect the majority of European leaders (probably rightly so) thought there would be no chance of their people adhering to a  China style lockdown. Hence the shit storm we are in.

We all know someone who reckons the whole thing is "horseshit" or they won't wear a mask ot think that common sense stops the virus from existing.

Multiply that across the country and you have a lot of people acting the cunt and invariably spreading it.

The government absolutely have my sympathy on that because we live in a country that doesn't just lock folk up for disagreeing.

In the end, I'll fuck it all off because I won't kill any of my elderly relatives. They're all dead anyway.

Also we have to remember China was the source of this and seemingly within about 4’week they had it under control. Or so they said 🧐

Yes we always have been. Scroll back about 800 pages and find out where I’ve said it about 10 times as folk trot out meaningless graphs comparing us and other nations. Apple and a egg in most cases is the comparison.
