Off to Barcelona with the girls in April, anyone any hints/tips and things to do other than the obvious? Cheers lads 👍

What’s the obvious...?

Great beach it’s a must.

Do the cable cars, tour of Nou Camp. I’ve got a number of a chap who can sort it out at short notice as well if needed.

Get a game there and watch Lionel, whilst you still can.

Holy Cross cathedral is spectacular.

Get the tour bus tickets you can use them all day and jump on off wherever you want. Be careful with your money and belongings around las ramblas in the evenings. At night if your going somewhere to eat get a taxi be much easier and safer than pissing around on buses or metro.  Go to el Corte Ingles department store for lunch loads of options to eat and it’s on top floor with great views over the city. Take in familia sagrada if your into sightseeing.

The 360 degree rooftop bar on top of the Barcelo Raval is a good spot. As the name suggest, views over the entire city and some of the views on the balcony were very nice too (topless female sun worshippers).

My highlights were La Boqueria, which is the market, Montjuic which has the fountains and museums to look round and has probably the best views of the city - great to do at night, Fundacio Joan Miro - hero of Catalans, amazing art.

Also, for a break from site seeing have a coffee at Els Quarte Gats - famous cafe whose patrons included Picasso, Gaudi etc Not far from Las Rhamblas and the Churros there are ace.

Apart from all the above, everyone, I mean everyone will tell you to watch out for pickpockets.

Just use your loaf is what I'd say, and enjoy it. It's a fantastic city.

go to the port ,where you can see loads of lovely cruise ships

Don't bother going inside Sagrada Familia.

Do go to Park Guell.

did the hop on hop off bus

got off there

looked at it

took a picture

Get in Flaherty's Irish bar and drink youself unconscious or until you soil yourself, whichever comes first

Market off Las Ramblas is worth a poke about.

There's a decent real ale tap house on the harbour called the Black Lab

See if they've finished building that bloody church yet.

Went, saw the size of the queue and thought fuck that

Cable car, tour of the nou camp though it does look smaller from the outside and the beach. Which apparently was a no go area till they got the Olympics and they cleaned it up

Super thanks. Im quite happy drinking my way round Barcelona. Not into big crowds of people stepping on my toes and getting on my tits. Beer and food and im happy 👍

HBAT?

good bar to watch English footy in is  https://futballarium.com/etlap/

if you fancy something different - go and watch Barcelona futsal team  - they're at home on the 18th April, or the basketball on the 2nd 5th and 16th - its right next to the nou camp, you can get tickets for less than £10 from the ticket kiosks at the nou camp.

if you want to get away from the busy tourist  areas,  There's a mini trafford centre type place  https://www.granvia2.com/

with loads of restaurants , its quiet in the daytime

Surely not. If you soil yourself first, you carry on drinking until you lose consciousness.

Anyway, if you like fizz, then Xampaneria Can Paixano, just before you get to the afore-mentioned Black Lab. (nearest metro is Barceloneta)
