June 17, 20206 yr Lgs 1 & 2 won’t start without spectators. The clubs need the income, and they can’t afford all of the testing. Money has to come from the fans unless there’s a miraculous handout from the Premiership.

I'd take that and be pretty delighted with it. Much depending on any evidence of a second spike I suppose, but business pressure is going to take more and more priority going forward regardless.

I'd be in favour of the league being delayed till October if possible to give us the best chance of increased capacity. 50% capacity would be a great start. Thinking about the terraces, on reflection, maybe they could divide a terrace into 5 or 6 sections taped off and stewarded to encourage distancing. I still think its 50% max this side of Christmas, and possibly no away fans at the smaller grounds. I'd be happy with that compromise if it means we're back at home matches this year. I'm thinking away fans might be banned this year at the smaller grounds (which is basically everyone except us, Bradford, Tranmere, Oldham off top of my head).

When i was still at school we had a holiday at Ravensglass , that long ago that Workington were still in the league, & they had a midweek league cup match with Sheff Utd so i went.....but there was no train back after so i had to doss down on Workington station. All night there were flames & smoke shooting into the sky from the steel works.....very eerie.

Cockermouth is great. Good pub crawl. I usually get there for at least 2 weekends every year. It’s ideal for exploring the less commercial NW lakes.
