Get the jelly and ice cream ready

Last day of business before the deadline is tomorrow. Like us and Bury they’ll more than likely get an extension, then no doubt a turd in shining armour will ride in to save them at the last minute.

I can see the club surviving in some form but it seems clear that the US outfit isn’t keen on buying all the assets, especially the ground which is something of a millstone around Wigan’s neck. The rugby boys seem to want the stadium which might leave Latics playing their home games elsewhere, possibly in Leigh, until they can sort out a smaller more suitable permanent home. Shorn of all the expense of the DW and their expensive players they could become stable again within a few years and rebuild.

As per admins club WILL NOT be sold by 31st August I assume that there will be an extension

The petty side of me wants them playing games 20 miles from home like Cov.

perhaps PNE will take them in.

They are not near a deal yet according to the admins

Talking to the fans now, I must be honest, if none of the bids come to fruition, we have to think about whether the club has a future.

and then goes on to say but that us not in my mind at moment.  Well.it obviously is you dodgy fecker. Strip all you can Gerard lad

This guy must either be a fucking brilliant poker player or a loon. Imagine coming out and telling everyone how desperate you are.

Two uk bidders........Please be those two

Knowing that your going to lose about 4 million after a 5 million initial outlay then only a madman or a Wigan fan who has money to burn would buy the club. Where is Bassini?

Or you buy the club then continue to sell the players to cover the initial outlay then sell the ground - might make some money in the short term

Could build a 5k all seater super stadium and share with bury. Might stop the two of them going bust again

One of their first team attacking players Jamal Lowe sold to Swansea City today. We are getting there but i still think they could field the best midfield in the third tier and Garner is clearly a decent striker

Would like to hear what the EFLs position is  - without a buyer near to completion still dont see how they will allow them to play the League cup match next weekend or their opening League games without evidence they can complete the season - the fact they have money to get them to the end of september seems totally irrelevant at this moment.

And no stadium, no training ground, few if any senior pros left, all saleable assets sold and  no prospect of income matching expenditure, surely only moon men would get involved.

I wondered if they could possibly merge, could suit both clubs, it pushes Colls higher than they could achieve otherwise, and also gives Wigan a home ground still in their own town/catchment area

And where would we all go when we get to play them in a cup match? 🤕
