Dog started with a slight limp (back leg) Saturday morning. No obvious injuries or anything stuck between toes. Gradually got worse so I've booked him into the vets. Earliest I can get is Wednesday. He's only 1, so it's not old age. 

Given his paws a salt bath and trying to make him rest. Anyone got any advise to try and help the poor lad? 

I can cope with poorly humans but not with poorly animals 😢

Rudy, just take it to a vet. They will crack on treatment, whilst you sort out the RSPCA.

We did that once with a cat. Had to be put down in the end, but the charity sorted the dosh.

Left it with the Mrs I’m at work, she can’t go to the vets she’s got the sprog with her and it’s one person only allowed in with the cat. 
RSPCA said they’ll be with us ASAP might be tomorrow now.
Mrs said it’s had a bit of a walk around the kitchen limping a little bit and she’s cleaned it up.

Just having a look on social media seeing if anyone is missing a cat , and how much they’ll pay to get it back 😁

Been backwards and forward with our dog to the vets for a few weeks now shes had x rays and different medications but wasn't eating or drinking much at all ....took her back this morning as she was whimpering all night ....another x ray that showed her hips are fucked so made the decision to put her to sleep .....absolutely gutted feels like i have let her down but at least she isn't in pain now .

Can only imagine how you feel . Our dog is 13 now and showing lots of signs of age. Hate to think state missus will be in when it happens !

keeping her alive would be letting her down

ours is about 12

looks and behaves like a puppy

but hes def slowing down

my dog is 9

I thought i'd be with him to his very end, that he'd be put to sleep, I'd be there with him, and he'd be the last one I see

not taking him to Australia though for various reasons

it's very expensive (could be nearly £10k) - he would do the trip in a cage - then spend 30 days in quarantine - then enter a country that's 2 to 3 times hotter all year round than what he's used to

he's going to live with my other half's aunt, she's the only person I'd give him too, if it wasn't for her, he'd be coming

our eldest dog is 11, and he's started to get really old all of a sudden. I'm absolutely dreading what I suspect is more imminent than I'd like

One of mine had another seizure on Monday night and ended up bouncing down the who of the stair case.

Out of the blue, that's three in a few months.

Appointment on Tuesday and no doubt tests.

Fingers crossed its nothing untoward. 

My last dog got old as fuck, then went mad and chewed through his own scrotum. Came down stairs one morning and there was blood all over the place, and his bollocks were hanging out. Horrific. Obviously I took him to be put down shortly after. Never having another.

yeah, no chance, I'd have sucked up the bill and trauma for him and brought him if not for them

they had two dogs who both got old and passed away the last year or so

so they got a new german shepherd puppy

so he will have a mate

and they're retired and live in northuberland near the coast

so he'll get loads of exercise and he loves beaches

he'll be reet
