The 2020 USA Presidential election

The eve of the maddest show in the world

Two senior citizens battling it out to become the most powerful person in the world

The most decisive election in years, which no matter the outcome, the whole country is anticipating civil unrest.

Yes folks the loonies are well and truly out of the Asylum

Forget the polls, forget what you think will happen one thing for sure is it’s always unpredictable and I cannot wait

Buckle up Dorothy

Also, I think a lot of white people retire to Florida & the BLM connection would put them off from voting democrat.

Florida is huge. really huge. South of the state, lots of cubans as well who will always vote republican. Around more liberal areas such as Tampa, more democrat.

It's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to simple to blame one, very niche, political movement. Unless you follow certain people on twitter.

Caputo is the chief Florida correspondent for Politico, but yes, 'Twitter'. That's how media works these days.

Erm, ok then. Christ.

If you count votes beforehand, word gets out and encourages the other side to vote. Oberver effect, puts doubts over the integrity of the election.

Works with if you count postal votes sent late in the day too then I imagine.

Certainly if the Democrats want to win TX and FL in future they have to understand the nuances of the Hispanic vote better

Wouldn’t suggest counting them before hand

However some states counted all the postal votes first and Biden stormed into a lead (Ohio), when they moved into counting in person votes Trump romped home in that state

Otger states (Michigan, Nevada, Wisconsin, Georgia and Pennsylvanian) are counting the postal votes last thus its all going the other way

You think they would just count a bit of each as they go to avoid such swings (and Presidents claiming a rigged election)

Sky news predicting a Biden win, think they’d be better checking the betting odds.

Sky still seem to be predicting a win

Think the bookies may be watching Sky. 5/2

Biden gone from +10k to +20k in Wisconsin

350k to count, mainly postal

Got to fancy Biden to take Wisconsin

More Twitter:

That's without GA

The more you look at it, the more Biden could win with a bit to spare

If i'm reading this right, Biden now just needs to win the following:

Maine (way ahead)

Nevada (Ahead)

Arizona (Slight lead)

Wisconsin (Tight lead)

Michigan (Losing but appears to be favourite)

So Pennysylvania won't matter if he gets the above as it puts him on 271.

Trump out to 3.95 on betfair exchange .

Absolutely. No reason that all postal votes couldn't be in a couple of days before so as to allow all counting to start immediately after closing time.

What if a day before the election some new things come out on a candidate? 100m vote via post, you ask them all to vote ‘early’ and it’s not as robust a process

If its stamped yesterday, it’s allowed

Most would have been posted days / weeks ago though, but that’s up to the person

Correct

Hard to see a path for Trump with the current momentum for Biden

I expect it to be a done deal for Biden today

NV is closer than expected so far but they've got to count Clark County (Vegas) which has a ton of votes and is usually Dem

Biden has won it based on what’s left to fight for.

But just going to be a shit storm For months now

Get your point, but that's the chance you take. I think postal votes here need to be in prior to voting day, so as to enable all votes to be counted, and not drag the process out like this.

Would completely remove the situation we have now with the Don claiming bollocks.

Trump voted by post himself.

It is weird how the individual states all her their own rules and nuances. But everyone knew the rules.

Nevada has until the 10th finalise its count? That is crazy!

Surely get all the croupiers from Vegas in to run the count, they could do it in a fraction of the time.

Weird how Trump didn't make this fuss about postal votes last time when he won.

Didn't he vote by post anyway, the baffled old twat?
