Newport (A)

Hopefully we’ll be going down there on the back of three points against Colchester.

Newport are back in Newport after two games in Cardiff to give them a chance to rest the pitch at Rodney Parade. Just in time for it to host Dragons RU v Northampton on Saturday night. FFS. Fingers crossed it stays dry or the pitch will be knackered for Monday.

Need to play 1 game at a time and 3 points against Colchester is a must, then see what Monday brings. last thing we want to do is underestimate Colchester and balls up.

You infer that our strikers should score with every opportunity.

But regardless, why don’t you tell the class what should be done to stop this horrific run of defeats.

when did I say we should score every opportunity? Our players have missed about 4 sitters today that is not acceptable

Ok

What needs to happen to stop this terrible run we’re on?

So you think we were unlucky today ?

Yes, I think their goal was lucky, bounced of Santos towards our goal, Gilks maybe could've push it around the post? but they certainly didn't work that goal for themselves, so they got lucky we were unlucky.

The point is we have been winning recently by such tight margins it only takes something like this to upset the apple cart. And on the back of a poor performance on Friday just frustrating. Doyle should have finished easily, Lee should have, but they didn't!

Pretty certain if we won Fri we would have at least drawn today.

Back to the game, what happened at half time

I know they made a sub, but enough to change the flow of the game so much?

we don’t score enough goals to just brush it off like that.

We all know that Evatt has serious limitations at times but even I have to concede he has done work to improve them.

His job is to get us out of this tin pot league and nothing else in my opinion and once he has then we thank him and move on to a more suitable manager.

Until then we will get games like today, but not to may before we run out of time.

When you say not acceptable, what do you mean ?

Not acceptable as in you want your money back ?

Not Acceptable as the players should be fined/dropped ?

Not acceptable as in your fantasy world they would go in ?

or Not acceptable as in it happens, lets move on ?

Listen Mr, i was probably watching Bolton when you wasnt even thought of! I was at Scarborough when we lost 4-0, previous to that ive seen us lose at QPR 7-1, and previous to that i was at Chelsea when we was 3-0 up and lost 4-3 So yes, i do have an idea where we have been!

They seemed to change shape at the back where we just stopped having that space in behind them out wide, particularly down the right.

Screenshot from the incident at the end looks like the ball is over the line for me.

it's beginning to look a lot like

It doesn’t matter according to you lot, let’s continue to bury our heads and say “we will still go up”

Not going to stick around here for the overreactions and arguments tonight - utterly pointless.

Could and absolutely should have been out of sight today. Nothing to do with having a poor attack or not making enough chances. Had enough chances for an absolute rout. They've had one clear cut chance and scored it, fair enough. Infuriating for us but I think the pressure of the unbeaten run now gone could be a blessing in disguise. We can only hope.

Nothing in the performance today had me worried, as I say, should've been an easy win. Didn't work out like that. Shit happens. It hurts. Fuck off Newport.

Go again next time. I'll keep the faith. We're still going up.

That's where I'm at.

He is the thing you and white since63 have all of a sudden tripped up posting on here. Posting the same and very similar shite. Makes me think you are both either posters using aliases 'for a laugh' or are simply WUMs both of which make you cunts in my eyes.

You said we were lucky at FGR, surely by the same logic we were unlucky today in your mind ? Not for me, missing chances is not lucky, today we lost because probably the best player in the League ((Lee) missed 3 sitters. But you must have thought we were unlucky ?

Maybe we’re the only intelligent ones and no I don’t think we were unlucky, we were actually excellent until 10 yards from goal. I don’t imagine Lee and Doyle could miss those chances in one game again if we played until Christmas but it doesn’t excuse them. I don’t know what they do in training but obviously not shooting practice because for all the shots we do have they’re rarely on target. That’s bad play not bad luck and it’s cost us 5 points in two games.

All of which is totally reasonable, I disagree a lot with your take on our position but you seem capable of accepting it ain't all black and white unlike some of the recent arrivals.
Lee's 3 misses from any pro player were individually very poor for such a good player to miss all three is incredible.

You're right. We need to tantrum & stamp our feet & demand they don't do it again. Its 4th tier football, we've had a magnificent run but it's still a 4th division team out there so there will be mistakes & limitations.

As a moderator I think you should be a bit more impartial and welcoming of alternative views/opinions.

So you dont think evatt told them to miss?

Or that it was deliberate?
