When I worked we used to take people with learning difficulties to the cinema to two or three times a week. If you got on a cinema trip you could be watching some crap with alarming regularity.

Frozzen 2 (3 times), Mama Mia (They're at it again), Malevolence, Addams Family, Cats (fuck me that was awful) the list could go on, if I could be arsed.

The only James Bond film I've seen was Dr.No. in Hebrew in Tell Aviv one pissing down February night.

I struggle to concentrate on anything on screen that's longer than an hour.

Same.

I wouldn't watch anything with them in.

They’d struggle to find a big enough mongy looking weirdo to play Tom York.

I'm actually warming to the idea of Radiohead: The Musical.

A whimsical tale about 5 studious lads who do their homework, get decent grades, go to uni then end up being one of the best and most innovative bands on earth.

Makes a change from the usual hard luck stories and barely believable fairy-tale cat sick about someone making it to the bright lights having been in the gutter.

This is a call-to-arms for Generation Brexit. You can come from a middle class background and still be a musical genius.

No drug stories, no massive arguments, just ace songs and wonky eyes.

I like Radiohead but fuck me a documentary about them let alone a musical should only be shown to the residents of Guantanamo

Curtain up

Single spotlight shines down onto centre stage

Sat cross-legged, holding a guitar is Thom Yorke (played by Tilda Swinton)

He's playing a B Minor chord over and over and over again

He doesn't sing any words, just warbles a high pitched, melancholy note for 5 punishing minutes.

He stops. Stands then approaches stage front. Let's out an anguished, primal screech.

Spotlight fades.

Exeunt.

Au contraire. 'Meeting People Is Easy' is a fantastic documentary that captures Thom Yorke's spiral into depression following the release of OK Computer. There's a tragic scene in which he gets denied entry to his own after-show party, and the bouncer starts calling him a dickhead. :(

20 seconds into this clip.

I admit, it is a very depressing watch. But at the same time, it's a fascinating behind-the-scenes insight into what almost pushed him over the edge.

If that was for real surely it represents a rare opportunity for some usually twattish 'do you know who I am?' type behaviour?

The cunt on the door deserves to be crushed, so crush him.

I bet some arse like Jay Kay or Craig David would've had him killed.

I’ll stick to the tunes and the live DVD. One thing I would say about Radiohead is I didn’t pay them much attention then I saw them at the cricket ground and I couldn’t believe the sound they were generating. I was blown away and been a fan of their music ever since

I've seen them a few times. Best band I've ever seen live, by far. Favourite one was at Victoria Park in Warrington on the day they released Kid A. 10,000 people in a massive tent. It was fucking incredible.

I went to that.

Think it was broadcast on radio one live.

Still got the circus style ticket in a drawer somewhere .

There were more than a few baffled expressions when they were doing the kid A stuff though...

Aye. I listen back to the recording of that gig now and then. Brings back great memories.

nice one, I shall listen to this, was around this time I was really into them

never seen them

had the chance at OT last time out, last minute ticket offer, but had just seen the set at Glastonbury on TV, £70 seemed steep, and I really don't like LCCC as a venue

maybe next time

if there is one

It was class. MGMT supported them weirdly  but they were good

15 steps as an opener will take some beating

saw MGMT once at the apollo after a big smoke, they had some mad shit going on with the video screens behind them, the one and only time I've sat down upstairs at the apollo, and was very thankful for that

He flipped someone the bird for telling him to cheer up at one point.

He's not exactly Iggy Pop

😁 During Exit Music. It put him right off. You can hear it just after 1:25:40.

Enjoyed that

Going to see if there any out there for when they toured ok computer and the bends

I know they ended up with contempt for Creep, but noticed that set list had nothing off Pablo Honey

They ignore Pablo Honey which I always find strange as there are some belters on it.

Hopefully they’ll start to add some in as they turn into the Rolling Stones/pink Floyd of our generation.
