That's good. I'm only on because I'm still sat in Canterbury dental hospital as my other half cracked a tooth on monday and had a massive gum infection now. Typical North Easterner ie it'll be fine etc until today when the pain got too much.

The daft thing is, he probably knows I'm dyslexic and that my whole blinking family are teachers.

He had a cracking shift on here last night though. Quite glad to be fair as the hospital was bloody boring.

We get it, you don’t like the “plan” because the Don has come up with it, you want the rebuild to be carried out by other arab countries even though they have said they will work with America 🤦🏻

Yes NIC we have heard you tell us all numerous times that your dyslexic many on here have also seen you try to pick up others on their punctuation/grammar which makes me think are you really dyslexic as surely that’s not something a dyslexic person would do, or are you just a knob? I’m guessing it’s a case of both. And we know about your parents being teachers, I don’t think anyone is bothered, why you feel the need to mention this in numerous threads is anyone’s guess 🤷🏻

And I’ve explained very clearly in my first post last night why it’s a ridiculous plan. It’s not about rebuilding for Palestinians , it’s about removing them. If it was another republican or a democrat, I’d be saying exactly the same.

Yes it’s a ludicrous idea, who in their right mind right mind would suggest moving 100s of thousands of people from a war zone to a safe area, with schools, hospitals food, running water etc whilst 50 million tonnes of rubble  containing 1000s of lbs of unexploded ordnance are removed. Mentalists. Kids needs bombs to play on.

I'm keeping an open mind to all this. It sounds bonkers on paper - but 80 odd years of diplomacy doesn't seem to have worked, and I doubt another 80 will either. 

It's going to need something radical. And whilst this idea makes me feel a bit uncomfortable - if it was done properly it might just work itself out. That's a huge if. 

FWIW - I don't think anything will come of it in its present form - because all the stakeholders seem dead against it, bar Trump and Israel. 

But Gaza is gone as it stands and it will take the best part of a decade to put it right.

Instead, he suggested building "various domains" for them to "permanently… live out their lives in peace and harmony instead of having to go back and do it again".

This could take the form of "numerous sites" or "one large site", he added.

The only locations he mentioned by name were Jordan and Egypt, which he said, despite their leaders consistently refusing to resettle more Palestinian refugees, would "give us the kind of land we need to get this done".

He described the new sites as a "beautiful area to resettle people, permanently in nice homes, where they can be happy and not shot… and killed… like what's happening in Gaza".

He said "neighbouring countries of great wealth" could finance them - without stipulating to what extent this would involve the US.
