Meanwhile in Israel

Is it kicking off big time or is this just everyday stuff they deal with or a bit of both?

No they don't.

Iran's leaders for a start.

And every tin pot terrorist organisation and nation that they speak for.

Rump says some weird things, spouts bollocks, and can be quite offensive.

He doesn't speak about, nor has the belief in ending the existence of another nation and its people.

The United States will acquire Greenland “one way or the other,” President Donald Trump said in a speech late Tuesday

Thick as mince, and too stupid to realise. The frightening thing is these clips are from his first term. And he got reelected 🤦‍♂️. Only in America.

World police. Not seen this go wrong before have we.

The attacks were done without Congress approving it? Surely that shouldn't have happened?

Israel really do have the US by the balls don’t they.

Not at all. This has been a task waiting for a strong man for a very long time. He's arrived.

Just the three superfluous capital letters in this one. If you disregard the full words he's capitalised. Never let it be said that he's not learning and getting better and this president stuff! 😁

You're on a wind up, surely? 😉😁

Except many, possibly most Americans don't want their boys to go into Iran, and believe they don't need to be involved.

It appears Trump's ratings have dropped a little as a result, so it clearly hasn't been done for political gain at home.

Moreover, Starmer's statement gives fairly bland agreement.

The US had to have permission from the uk to use Diego Garcia to launch the attack from, so any criticism of America also has to be lodged at home.

I need your help. Follow along with me on my thought processes would you and tell me what I'm missing.

We know for certain that the US had talks lined up with Iran on a nuclear deal in the next couple of days.

And I don't think there's any way Israel takes this current action against Iran without tacit approval from the US.

Which makes me ask. Why did the US sanction these attacks knowing full well it's likely that Iran would pull out of any talks as a result?

The only realistic options I can think of currently are that........

a) The Israelis gave the US prior warning of the attacks (we know this is true because of American evacuations from their embassies in recent days). The US said no. But despite this the Israelis didn't want Iran to potentially improve its relationship with the US so has decided to derail the talks before they could even start.

Or

b) The Israelis gave the US prior warning of the attacks (we know this is true because of American evacuations from their embassies in recent days). The US said Yes. This is because they thought it would ratchet up the pressure on Iran prior to the talks. A carrot and stick type strategy with Trump as the Carrot and Nehanyahu as the stick, concocted between the two of them which at this moment in time appears to have backfired spectacularly.

Or

C) The Israelis gave the US prior warning of the attacks (we know this is true because of evacuations from Ameican embassies in recent days). The US said Yes. This is because the US has no intention of signing a nuclear deal and instead want war with Iran. This is part of a strategy to change the Iranian regime and give the US (and by default Israel) the balance of power in the Middle East.

None of which are particularly appealing to be frank.

What do we think? One of these options? Am I totally wide of the mark? Are there other possibilities I've missed? I'm curious to hear what you think. And this isn't some kind of smart arse trap by the way. I'm just genuinely trying to get my head around things.

C) then

You’re funny.  Trump a strong man? 😂😂.

(Apologies for any misunderstanding if you were being sarcastic).

Don’t think Diego Garcia was used? At least spares our bases and troops in the region from any retaliation, for now.
