Having got a ceasefire sorted, he can't be seen to be somewhat dismissive of it.

Of course his language is typically hyperbolic, but he can hardly shrug his shoulders and openly say it won't last.

Obviously, that leaves him open to stick, but putting that to one side, on this issue he's dead right. Although hardly offering support, our lot, along with many others will be sighing with relief.

I wouldn't expect him to be dismissive of it, however, given the two countries involved, maybe he could have dialled down the hyperbole. The reality, is there isn't a single person on the planet who thought the ceasefire would hold.....although I bet most thought it would last longer than just a few hours.

Meanwhile in Gaza.  Just saw this on News at Ten.  Been raised on here dozens of times I know, but it really is fckin awful. Unacceptable. Inexcusable. Hard to sleep after watching this. If anyone is tempted to justify this please don’t bother.

If it's causing you to have sleeping difficulties, then it would be wise for you to reduce your level of viewing too, as it will affect you negatively and make no difference to the situation.

I/we should not become numb though to these scenes. This is not normal. Hamas will be Hamas. They deserve everything that Israel has/will throw at them. The hospital neonatal/baby stuff though - nope, not having that. Israel can ultimately control that. So what if some food goes missing to undesirables? No newborn or child should be deliberately starved.

Im not a grief junkie (honestly), and I know there are similar scenes no doubt in other parts of the world. None of them are right, and those who can fix this (which I can’t) have a moral duty to do so.  Those are those folks who shouldn’t be able to sleep at night.

Anyway, enough said. This thread is Groundhog Day.

This leaked defence report doesn't sound like particularly good reading. It's a preliminary report - so presumably more detail will come out - but it does suggest the job hasn't been done.

The UN have refused to cooperate with them since they announced they were taking control of aid distribution.

Ok.  I skipped answering as it’s pointless as you’re not able to decouple or compartmentalise things.  But as you ask again.

Answer: I don’t care whose fault it is. All I see is the evidence in front of my eyes in these hospitals. No food & starving kids. Israel can easily fix that. They are choosing not to.

Well you said it was the “deliberate actions of Israel.” You obviously don’t think Hamas are to blame for any of this. I’m not sure if that’s because you are being naive or a bit simple. Probably a bit of both,
