Base had been evacuated - they knew the missiles were coming?  I might be glass half full but here’s hoping this gives Iran their need to react without causing casualties and without the need for further reciprocal responses?  Just a few heated words and then everyone can get back round the table. All choreographed by an intermediary?

Providing nobody is killed or seriously injured then you might be right. If there are casualties I'd expect a hell of a response from the yanks.

A simple, token effort for celebration at home, and saving a bit of face.

No missiles landed at the base.

They can't have that many missiles and especially launchers left, and Israel is continually chipping away them.

If they continue to waste their remaining weapons, then those nations in the region will be quietly pleased.

It was for his efforts during the brief Spat with India recently. Don't know the details, but it is actually possible that America helped bring an end to it.

Thanks partly to the military items they receive from us. See Labour can do some good things. Israel has a right to defend itself.
