Well yes. You could also say the same about the Palestinians. Most of whom didn’t want Hamas but have no choice now. 
I’m absolutely certain in my own mind that there will never be a resolution while Hamas are around.

I reckon they will need to change tack or become less successful though, as the Israeli population have protested so much against their stuff in recent times. 

Which in a way makes the initial attack so stupid- it will have emboldened BN and they more extreme elements.

Major difference though, is that the population can vote them out.

Yes of course, but if they had waited until Israel had managed to stop or even rid themselves of BN from office, then it might have served them better.

Of course that potentially conflicts with the discourse between other Muslim countries and Israel, but on the whole, you would expect a more moderate Israel would potentially be less willing to be as strong in retaliation. 

Swings and roundabouts of course, but the massing of armour on the borders etc doesn't look good for Hamas.

I'm sure it is in part, and they seem to be accusing Russia as having some involvement too.

It is surely folly though, as the US has already reacted strongly with naval units, and would no doubt get involved.

It was only a few weeks ago that Israel and Saudi Arabia were on the brink of a historic ‘normalisation’ deal. It would have been a major achievement for Natanyahu. It’s one of the reasons for the timing of the Hamas attack according to some.

There’s been a few videos doing the rounds of people carrying flags getting attacked. All very odd.

Lot of people seem angry about some flags at a football match in Glasgow tonight.

 

Flags are very divisive aren’t they?

Issue is assuming everyone has a general level of intelligence.. 

"The guys got an England flag so must be against us"...

On one hand, yeah he's done nothing wrong, but on the other, why even bother? 

Guys pulled it out and chose there to cause offence, otherwise he wouldnt have taken time to cover his face. Same time, they shouldn't be getting riled up about seeing someone with that flag.
