We had a decent ish pre season last time round, but didn't entertain much by way of opposition, then were thrashed by Wigan.

Thrashed by what was already a very troubled Wigan 1-5 & then a planned game v Blackburn was called off. A game v Crewe was arranged & we list 0-3. Soon to be thoroughly turned over by Bradford in the Cup. 3 league losses, no goals & the optimism was well & truly gone.

I reckon Evatt knew at that point that his squad and plans were nowhere near ready.

We SEEM to be better placed this time.

I really can’t see there being that much difference between League 1 and League 2, possibly Lg1 teams will be a bit better organised and have a half decent goalscorer in their ranks.

Fwiw i was quite impressed with the standard in Lg2 last season, pretty much every team tried to get the ball down and play, not much hoofball at all.

Looking at 15k on according to Iles. Pleasantly surprised by that considering the minibus load that MK have sold

I heard they’d sold 150 yesterday, today up to 500.   I’ve just read the East and North lowers are nearly sold out, West Lower 75% full.   I’m very happy with that, long may it continue fingers crossed.

Outside of a promotion game or one of the £5 days, 15k must be one of our higher home attendances for quite a few years.

Probably goes back to the championship relegation year

Even Wilbraham Day only had 18.3k on, including Forest fans (Sunday noon KO live on Sky). But if that's counted as effectively a 'promotion' game, the last big home crowd was the Birmingham 6 pointer when they filled the away end.  21k in total, I think it was cheapish tickets.
