First home game for me since Peterborough promotion. Really looking forward to this season and we will win the opener

Harvester is going to manic next week with double today’s crowd.

Apparently, they forgot to book the door staff today.

1-0

12563

Dapo

our league to lose

2-0 Doyle

13421

3-1 Dapo, and a good chance these will be managerless

And the car park cameras weren't working apparently 🤫

Did it kick off after the game? Seemed fairly peaceful prior.

I think we’ll win narrowly 1-0. Crowd between 12-13 thousand.

Can’t see Formation of 4-2-3-1 changing. I’m predicting Sheehan and Bakayoko to start alongside some of last years mainstays.

  • Gilks
  • Jones
  • Santos
  • Baptiste
  • John
  • MJ
  • Sheehan
  • Sarcevic
  • Afolayan
  • Bakayoko
  • Isgrove

Subs

  • Dixon
  • Brockbank
  • Johnston
  • Delf
  • Doyle
  • Lee
  • Thomason

Not in

  • Politic
  • Aimson
  • Gordon
  • Amaechi
  • Senior

I think we can only have 5 subs on the bench this season and use only three, but other than that I’d agree with your starting eleven if all fit. Personally though I’d drop Delf and Dixon from your subs as I don’t think IE will sit a keeper on the bench but would have Politic in for Lee as I’m not sure about Izzy for 90 minutes.

Think we are allowed to name 7 subs, using just 3 according to this article;

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/efl-temporary-covid-rule-scrapped-24574101.amp

“From next season, in the Championship, League One and League Two, teams will be able to name seven substitutes but only use a maximum of three.”

If he doesn’t pick Dixon on bench, then I agree he’ll go with Politic.

Dont see Gilks or Santos starting just wont be fit

It wasn't 5-0 though. Which is a throw back to last season's match threads.

I'm not convinced he's good enough at this level.

The chances he got last season he should have been closer to 30 goals

Will he have a better season? I’m not sure but happy to be proved wrong

Cheers Desperado for clarifying.

Didn't BN say his record in League One is pretty good or I might be wrong

He could probably have got 40, but yes he really should have been pushing 30, instead of not quite getting 20.

It is, in fairness, but he's 33 now and I thought his goal return last season was a good way shy of what it should have been.
