If you don’t mind this is a hardcore thread enjoy work I’ll send you updates

  • But you dropped Dapo !    From looking a good organised two weeks ago couple of injuries and suspensions and we look sparse.    We will be missing 3 out of 4 of our leading defenders ton

  • Say hi to @Big E for us

Get some Barbour wellies to go with them pink shorts.

I have decisions to make. There is not one player, other than MJ Williams, who did themselves justice on Saturday so there will be changes at Plymouth, absolutely there will.”

- Evatt

I think we will play

.                Dixon

isgrove Aimson Johnston Gordon

.           MJ Thomason

.       Dapo Sarce Kachunga

.                 Doyle

Dixon
-------
Brockbank
Baptiste
Johnston
Gordon
--------
Sarcevic
MJ
Thomason
----------
Isgrove
Doyle
Afolayan

That's 3 changes, he won't want massive defensive uheaval and he'll want to be seen to be supporting Brockbank.

Subs :  Sheehan, Delfouneso, Aimson, Bakayoko, Kachunga, Gilks and a young lad from the reserves (Henry?)

I'm not Delf's biggest fan, but Kachunga hasn't done anything more. At least Delf has notched during the "wank cup" matches.

Maybe due a go.

Doyle for Baka, let's just give ourselves an easy out ball given all the changes that are coming and the disruption it will have on how much total football we play!

Don't know much about Aimson but he looked ok against Liverpool so maybe worth a debut against his old team too..

Just arrived. Biblical amounts of rain from Exeter onwards. Not a pleasant drive.

Was he playing as a striker in that game vs Liverpool?

no let up is there

No need to overreact to a poor performance. Not seen much of these but we shouldn't be going to Plymouth thinking we can't beat them. Play like we have for the majority of the season and we can get a positive result.

Tomorrow doesn't look too bad until mid-afternoon

A-A

Whoever comes in has a chance to make that place theirs

The forecast 40mph winds are now looking to drop to ‘only‘ 20mph during the game. It’s a start.

I’d probably go 3 at back given our wing backs are not particularly solid defensively.

Surely that’s worse, exposing a single wing back against their full back and wide midfielders rather going 2v2?

No, no and thrice no.  Did you not watch us at the start of last season??

The left and right centre back can step across to help out, the alternative is 4 across the back with 2 defensively poor full backs.

Unfortunately, yes.

One shit performance shouldn't mean changing back to a system that we were poor with over a sustained period of time.

Given the personnel at our disposal I’m sure Evatt will be considering a change of formation.

What went on last season doesn't necessarily hold for this.

Equally, if a change was to happen, then those given a job in that position need to be comfortable in it, and able to trust each other.

Horses for courses, and it's up to Evatt to come up with a formula to improve results, and cope with absentees at the same time.

Not against a top of the league side

Unnecessary risk.

Lets be honest a point would be great

A clean sheet would be incredible.
Keep the formation give other chances
