I'm so blessed by God that he's given me this opportunity to work with this wonderful community, this wonderful town, this wonderful football club, and I'm humbled by the opportunity.

unless there is another specific quote where she literally says she was sent by god I'd say she is being misquoted and that is quite different to what sluffy is alluding to as not being normal

but maybe I'm a cult or something

Q to AI - what does blessed by god mean

Ans - Being "blessed by God" means, receiving divine favor, grace, or spiritual well-being from a higher power. It describes a state of being deeply cared for, protected, or granted good gifts—such as peace, health, or strength—that come directly from God's generous nature.

Q to AI - what does divine favor mean

Ans - Divine favor means a special. unearned blessing. approval, or kind treatment given to a person by God.

So she wasn't 'sent' by God to be at BWFC, in her mind and words God bestowed it on her.

I don't know if you believe in a God but I don't, there is no such thing and religion simply came about by explaining what was then unexplainable - why has the Sun died, it must be angry with us - no it was an eclipse, sort of thing and now is a means of control, look at how women are treated in the more radical Islamic countries for instance.

Sharon is free to believe whatever she wants and act in a way so that her God is pleased with her, which no doubt she does.

That isn't normal behaviour to me.

Man invent God, not the other way around

I once had a neighbour who is Jewish and is ultra orthodox and would do absolutely nothing on the Sabbath - that's not normal.

I also knew a bloke who is a Muslim who refused to touch a woman (even shake hands with some woman being introduced to him), because his extreme brand of Islam says that women once they reach the age of puberty are 'unclean' - that's not normal either

Jehovah's witnesses use to famously refused blood transfusions, even when it could save their life - I don't know if that is still the case - my point being what people believe their God has told them to do and how to live their life, no longer makes any sense these days assuming it made any sense at sometime in the long forgotten past.

If you or anyone else on here believes God bestowed the club unto Sharon, then that's up to you.

I'm having none of it.

And yes there is a vibe of a cult in respect of Sharon, perhaps if you are already in it is to late to see it...

You've spent pages telling us that Sharon claimed she was sent here by God through a message in her head to work a miracle do good things for people's lives.

All she actually did was express feeling "blessed by God to have this opportunity"

You fabricated a bizarre religious narrative, built an entire argument around it, and when proven wrong, moved into a lecture about Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Sabbath, eclipses, and radical Islam.

As for what is "normal" - millions of people of faith use expressions like "feeling blessed" when good things happen in their lives or careers.

It is standard, everyday language.

Even non religious people, like me, will use the phrase feeling blessed with something.

You don't have to be religious to understand basic human figures of speech without going all literal and using AI to analyse her words so you can convince yourself she thinks she was bestowed this job onto her by a supreme being.

And throwing around the word "cult" just because people respect the job the board has done is twatty.

We can see the club has gone from financial ruin in League Two to a stable, well-run Championship side.

It's not cultish - it's called looking at basic facts and enjoying the football.

To be fair though, it's probably unfair to be critical of you because all you've done once again is shown you don't get it, which is all you said in the first place.

I stand by all what I've said.

Just because religion is tolerated doesn't mean it isn't insane, look at all those ISIS suicide bombers blowing themselves up because they believed they were going to heaven and there would be twenty virgins waiting for them.

And it is one thing using expressions of faith like in your example but it is totally different kettle of fish when the person using the expressions like Sharon, believes implicitly in them - she really believes that God has blessed her, they aren't empty words to her, she means them, doesn't she?

That is as crackers to me as someone blowing themselves up and expecting to wake up in heaven with twenty virgins by their side.

And of course it is a cult when you get people like Desperado rushing in to defend Sharon's honour against me and Krimzon believing the club under Sharon is more important than defeating cancer - what else would you call it?

The club hasn't evolved from not having a pot to piss in to becoming a Championship side because of Sharon's goody, goody ethos, it is because Luckock's brother and his work colleagues are minted and stuck into the clubs coffers what is spare cash to them, instead of buying a new boat or whatever hobby or interest the super rich splash their cash on.

Just to remind you that up to that point we were dependant on a government Covid handout and Eddie Davies Trust writing off a few millions in order to survive.

We've now got an American billionaire sitting on our board who 'get's it' apparently, although I rather think he's more got his eyes on making money at the club somehow.

It is good of you to give me an out by saying it is unfair to be critical of me because I did start of by saying 'I don't get it' (and I still don't) but I'm a big boy and if people want to vent their anger at me because I've impugned their heroine Shaz then I'll take it on the chin and give them some back because she clear believes God is part of her life and that he bestowed the club unto her.

Also fwiw her plan was to make the club to become self-sufficient, now she's looking for investors to share the financial burden,.

God didn't bother to bestow that on her then did he...

I said I wasnt going to respond to you again but I felt the urge one last time .
Your disdain for religion is clear despite the fact that you are in the minority in the country let alone , the continent or worldwide , btw 95% of the population of the planet believe in a diety .

I always wonder why atheists feel the need to try to convince everybody else that there is no God , what does it matter ? does it impact you personally ? no need to respoond the answer is clear . People are always afraid of what they cant understand , which is why you dont get it .

AS for you personally Lets see if any of these fit :

Grandiose View: Has an inflated, arrogant sense of self-worth.

No Remorse: Feels zero guilt after attempting to belittle others.

Fake Charm: Often acts superior and or smart, in an attempt to trick/coerce/ingratiate others.

No Empathy: Cannot understand or share the feelings of others. (tho this can be emulated with practice)

Impulsive acts: Acts without thinking, and seeks quick thrills in confrontation and the attention that brings .

Guess what personality disorder that is ?

Oh and lastly BWFC the board , the fans and the town are all part of a cult .

You wont want anything to do with any of that then , unless it somehow resonates with you ? eh clint .

To be fair we have a fair few players with names from the bible..

Matthew Taylor, Remi Matthews, Gilks, Alexander,

Mark - Winstanley, Seagraves, Fish, Davies

Luke Southwood, Hutchinson, Murphy, MBete

John, McGinley, McAtee, Declan John, John O'Kane, Johnny Kenny, John Thomas (*counts as Thomas too)

Simon - Charlton, Xvier Simons, Farnworth, Coleman

James Trafford, Henry

Andrew -Kith Andrews, Andrew Taylor, Tutte, Lonergan, Walker

Philip - Neal, Jimmy, Parkinson and Brown (manager special here)

We've never had a Bart to my knowledge though..

Judas isn't a popular name tbh) although Coyle was called that by Burnley a few times...

Jude - Have we had a Jude?? Judith the tea lady?

So maybe Tough sheet is the Church ...

Sluffy and Sharon are onto something here.

It’s been hiding all this while. We have a BWFC cult, which Sharon knew she could manipulate to her own ends.

Arise

Saint Michael

Nick from Nazareth

All led by Sister Sharon.

I already have my role as as Lancelot riding into battle to defend the honour of Sister Sharon.

Ken Anderson was a cult.

Something like that anyway.

Right the 72 Virgin myth.. not 20 (shows how little you understand tbh), its not mentioned in the Qu'ran, but in religious book in the style of.. It's a story mentioned about one person due to their actions..

If someone believes their faith has led them down a path, what right do you have to refer to it as insane? I believe God's led me down my path in life, I've lived my life with as much kindness and love for others as I can, it's rare I'll say anything nasty towards anyone, that's what my faith tells me to do.. I'd walked away from teaching, the agency I was working for asked me to go and speak to a school about just helping out for a few days. My "chat" was in a Chapel I stayed there for 3 years then moved on to another school.. If that's not God calling me I don't know what is.

We're all on borrowed time, life's a blessing so we might as well enjoy it whilst we can. If we can bring joy and happiness to others then we should. Calling people / our Chairperson insane for having faith just isn't right.

Our predicament back in 2019, foodbanks etc, is even mentioned in the bible:

Isaiah 58:7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter...

And it must mean us not Wolverhampton, as it gives some advice on how to avoid a kicking at Molyneux:

Acts 20:29 I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.

Politics and religion have no place in football,so please let's all chat shit about something else

So our owner says she feels blessed and you're comparing her to ISIS suicide bombers?

You're becoming more unhinged by the post on some bizarre mission to besmirch the good work she's done.

The irony of you seemingly trying to ridicule her motives, while acting as a persistent apologist for KA - a man who nearly drove this club into extinction - is off the scale.

it's plain fucking weird and I would hazard a guess that, for whatever reason, you are the only Bolton fan who thinks this.

it's certainly not "normal", that's for sure

by all means stand by it and justify it however you want

just don't expect to be taken seriously

I thought you were better than this.

I did NOT compare Sharon to an ISIS suicide bomber, I simply showed how religious belief can lead to horrific and insane actions.

I was never suggesting Sharon's beliefs would lead to such though.

I've NEVER decried the good work that Sharon has done, I've simply said if the was her reason for being then she could have done even more if she didn't have the millstone of keeping a football club solvent hanging around her neck - and she would - won't she?

How is throwing her millions into a financial black hole effective in anyway, wouldn't it be better to achieve her 'reason for being' by spending those millions on doing good and changing people's lives than paying off annual trading losses?

Where have I ever ridiculed her motives - I've always said she had good intentions...

I don't 'get' her stated raison d'etre but I've openly said that I believe her to be a good person and well meaning and that I'm more than happy that she's brought millions of pounds worth to the club and hope she brings more to come.

I've never been an apologist for Anderson, I have however pointed out he did nothing legally wrong whilst at the club, we all know morally he did but there is nothing anyone can do about that.

Maybe I am weird but legally Anderson did nothing wrong legally whilst he owned the club - True or False?

Wouldn't you think the Administrator who clearly had no time for him would have done his damndest to nail Anderson's balls to the wall if he had done anything illeagally?

Morally Anderson may well be bankrupt but unfortunately we are rules by laws and not morals - breaking the law is punishable, being a wanker is not.

It is "plain fucking weird" if I did believe in the things you have wrote - but clearly I DON'T and NEVER HAVE.

I stand by what I've said - which is absolutely nothing at all like you seem to think I said.

I can only assume your emotions got the better of you when writing your reply to me perhaps?

@Krimzon All that religious speil and yet you believe the club is more important than beating cancer and saving peoples lives?

So much for your religion then.

@only1swanny So it is ok then and not insane, if an ISIS bomber blew himself up taking 50 innocent people with him because "his faith led him down his path"?

You brought up ISIS suicide bombers in a debate about SB saying she feels blessed, after totally twisting what she means by that

back tracking to now say it's a general lesson on theology doesn't make it any less absurd.

And saying Ken Anderson "did nothing wrong legally" while he left non-playing staff unpaid, suppliers shorted, and the club hours from liquidation

then you chuck in that most fans hatred stems from a lack of ignorance of how limited companies run, and that he kept the club going till a buyer could be found

that is the exact definition of being an apologist

if myself, or everyone else it seems, have missed the point you're trying to make, it's because you're doing a terrible job of making it

Maybe I am but the point is there and valid

Religion can and does lead to insane actions.

Anderson was found by those whose job it is to find these things, not to have acted illegally - although we all know he acted without much if any morals at times.

Most fans DIDN'T know Anderson had no legal requirement to pay staff wages or settle suppliers debts from his own pocket - the payments are the responsibility of the club (not the owner) and would have had to come out of what little money it still had left - by defaulting on these payments it allowed the club to survive that much longer.

That's not me being an apologist, that's me simply explain what the law is.

Apologises if I hadn't made these things clearer previously.

You acknowledge that KA behaved without any morals at times

I'd say that is a good reason to dislike him and that behaviour was clear to see for all concerned

I think that would be a logical conclusion for anyone to reach in the circumstances

But originally you said the dislike of him was down to people not understanding company law

That's some u turn you've done there

No I haven't.

People make their judgements on all sorts of things but clearly many were incensed when it became known wages were not being paid on time and the hatred was directed at Anderson for not doing so - agreed?

If so that had nothing to do with Anderson's morals at all, because it was the company (Bolton Wanderers Football and Athletic Club Ltd) which was legally responsible to pay the wages and NOT the company owner (Ken Anderson)

So no, I've done no u turn at all.

The hatred that derived from people's anger that wages have not been paid or suppliers not receiving due payments, and directed at Anderson was completely misplaced as he had no legal liability to do so.

Their anger should have been directed at BWFAC Ltd - which did not generate enough money from trading in order to pay the wages and due creditors.

Nothing at all to do with Anderson's morals.

Maybe some knew all about his morals before the wages weren't paid on time but I suggest the mass outpouring of hatred towards Anderson came in respect of late payment of wages and that had absolutely nothing to do with him in law (even being the owner of the company)

So I believe what I've said about the dislike/hatred of Anderson by most people that largely arose because they didn't know that in law he had no requirement to pay them out of his own pocket, to be a true statement.

And yes you could reply to me that he had a moral responsibility to do so but I suspect many hard nosed businessmen in his position would not have done either - hence the saying 'nothing personal, it's strictly business'.

If the wages aren't paid then the hatred is going to be directed at the owner, yes, as opposed to random employees. Glad we're all in agreement now. The thing is, there were concerns expressed about his morals (or lack thereof) when he came in and they were proven to be correct unfortunately.

At least under FV wages have always been paid on time, as well as HMRC and other clubs, so the stewardship of the club is massively improved.

You acknowledged he was immoral

That's not a good trait

People don't like that when it affects their football team and maybe people they know

There's nothing wrong in that and can be a natural reaction

So they choose to dislike KA

Natural reaction

But to you only he did no wrong despite you admitting he was immoral

Immoral in letting families going to food banks, wondering whether they can pay their mortgage or rent

But anyone who dislikes like him doesn't know about company law

Despite admitting he was immoral

All I've said is that he didn't do anything illegal during his ownership of the club and we know that because the Administrator said as much in his reporting of the Administration.

Was he without morals, all I've got to go on is the Administrators condemnation of him once the sale to FV was completed.

That is what I reference to above in past posts.

I'm not into this 'club means the world to me' attitude that some folk clearly have (the club means more to me than saving lives from cancer, as someone has stated previously on here) I'm not that sort of a person, I'm rational in my thinking and actions, not emotional and impulsive in my thoughts and deeds.

You can follow me around the forum (as you do) and bang on all you like about letting families go to food banks and not able to pay rent or mortgage but it doesn't change the fact that Anderson was not liable for the wages.

I think it was you who asked me what I would have done in Anderson's position and I answered you honestly that I would have tried to help as much as I could until it effected my own family circumstances - would I then become immoral because I stopped helping people needing to use the food bank and not paying their rent/mortgage.

I asked you and others what help they gave to those whose wages had not been paid - and I don't recall anyone saying they had done anything much - are they immoral too because in law Anderson was only acting exactly like them - ie not required to put his hand in his pocket because BWFAC Ltd was the one who had legal responsibility to do so, and it wasn't turning over enough money to do so.

And yes, you can repeat as much as you like 'anyone who dislikes him doesn't know company law' I've explained that fully in my post above.

If you can't accept the truth of it, then that is your problem, not mine.

I don't follow you anywhere you attention seeker

You post on a website I go on, you're posts appear along side everyone else's

As I've said previously, point out the ratio of the amounts by of posts you've made to that which I've commented on

But you don't seem to want to as it doesn't suit your narrative

I never asked you what you would do in his situation, you're just making things up. You just want to chuck the accusation out there but if I follow you around so much you would know I didn't

You said he acted immorally but now you're saying you don't know and only going off what the administrator said, adding that you only said he had no nothing legally wrong and that people's dislike stems from a lack of knowledge of company law, despite saying he acted immorally which is a trait people don't like so you can see why people don't like it even if they know he didn't do anything legally wrong

You seem to be tying yourselves in knots
