They're certainly nothing special.

16 overs till the new ball, I think it'll be over either way by then

England now bookies favourite - hope it's quick as pressure will start to reverse the nearer we get

I cant accept we are favourites yet

Aussies prob need 1 good ball

We need 100

Nah we need 13 and they need 4 - but agreed gamblers getting a little forward - not by much though.

Statement from the MCC: “After this morning’s play, emotions were running high, and words were unfortunately exchanged with some of the Australian team, by a small number of Members.

"We have unreservedly apologised to the Australian Team and will deal with any Member who has not maintained the standard we expect through our disciplinary processes.

"It was not necessary to eject anyone from the ground and I am pleased to say that there was no repeat of this as the players resumed the field for this afternoon."

Pathetic.

The good thing is it doesn't look like they can get Stokes out

The concerning thing is they seem to have found a way to stop the boundaries

Will be time for Broad to have a go soon - we're only 6 down and if they're going to have attacking fields there's a reasonable risk/reward to him taking a punt

Plenty of time, Stokes taking a breather

Ah well, it was always likely to be too much

One hell of an innings, though

Well, self proclaimed great Australian team needs to resort to dirty tricks to get relatively narrow wins against a team of brainless clubbers - well done to them, very impressive.

Cracking effort in the end by England.

Pity Stokes couldn't take it a touch further, but he was magnificent.

Bairstow tapped his foot back in his crease to indicate that he was “in”

The umpire is already moving and has called the over.

The thieving, filthy, cheating wankers have simply done what they always do unfortunately.

This now opens the door to all sorts of shenanigans creeping into the game - You can expect to see Bairstow or Foakes trying the same in Leeds, and don’t be surprised if a Mankad takes an Aussie batter as well. Legitimate, yes. In keeping with the spirit of the game? Is it fuck.

The Aussies can fuck off. I hope the Headingly crowd destroy the cunts

In fact I’d love to see Cummins get a few pint pots full of piss launched at him

Including our very own😃

I know it's a long tail but losing 3 wickets for 1 run is appalling

2-0 down but it's fine margins, so many moments that could change each match.

Anderson hasn't turned up, the Bairstow incident, Crawley and Pope scoring less than an injured Lyon, should have bowled out the tail in the 1st match, 2 close tests but we are falling short, whether having Archer and Leach would have made us win these games who knows, but we've not helped ourselves, Jimmy really needs to step up these next 3.

The umpire hadn't called over. The essence of the appeal.

It's a bit of a school boy error, against an opponent that will use any opportunity.

Stokes says he wouldn't have done it, and I believe him, though would he how return the favour?

As for the next games, not sure Anderson is quite fit enough but we'll see.

If Pope is out, then hopefully Foakes comes in.

It's a bit harsh to say Jimmy hasn't turned up.

He's not a quickie, he bowls swing and conditions haven't been conducive for him and the pitches don't suit him either. He is still bowling economically well enough.

They’ll rest Jimmy, unless the weather is looking cloudy as it’ll swing more in Leeds.

I just want us to shithouse them now because fuck em

Suspensions of some MCC members due to the carry on in the Long Room

Headingley is usually all about the weather, which looks variable.

Need Wood’s pace, the spin of Mooen, Tongue will play, so Jimmy or Broad miss out, I expect.

is it finished? Possibly not, there’s clearly not so much between the teams, shoulda, woulda so far.  Hope lessons have been learned. Another short ball fest?
