meanderson93 Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 Massive disappointment of an innings this after a great start. Quite literally letting the Ashes slip through our fingers. Quote

BobyBrno Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 Loving the predictions after 2 and a bit sessions of a five day Test.😊 Cummins gone after two balls and a player who hasn’t played Test cricket for 4 years getting 118 from 118 balls. Test cricket is the best. Ashes a bit better than that. Quote
DazBob Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 The doom merchants on here must be gutted at how the last hour has gone. Quote

Pope injury laid it on a plate for the management group to quietly climb down and bring Foakes in - sadly for all the talk of bravery, they're not brave enough to admit a mistake sometimes. We're still gonna get them out cheapish but we've taken 18 wickets already in this test. Quote

It’s like half time on a match day 😊 Imagine at 200 odd for 4. Right that’s it chaps it’s fucking over, give up, walk off, game over, Ashes gone. Quote
BobyBrno Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 Mark Wood. Take a bow son. 5fer. Should have played from the start? Ifs and maybes. Jealous of anyone there. Quote
Wanderlust Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 Loved watching Wood giving the Aussies what Starc gave us in the last test. Need to bat big and long now, not give anything away and we're in with a decent chance of the win we need. Quote

BobyBrno Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 Two Yorkies on their home ground in testing circumstances. Could be interesting this. Quote

globaldiver Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 How many does Bairstow owe England in this series? Lets hope he repays in the first innings. Quote

Selection is always open for debate. 10 of us could choose a team and they would probably all be different. Foakes could have done better (Buttler even better) we’ll never know. As I said earlier, Marsh wasn’t even on the radar at the start of the series but he could have made one of the most significant contributions to this match and the series. 🤷♂️ Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 Good day for cricket. Bairstow's keeping again a bit of a negative, and some of the catching. Bit harsh asking Brook to go to 3, and he struggled, but theirs is a good attack, and the pitch helpful to an extent, so not a great surprise. Plenty of life in this match yet. Quote

He might not keep wicket but he has plenty credit in the bank for his betting If theres any life in the pitch, duckett and brook have more questions to answer...both of em have shown they can play, but brook has a lot to prove and im always dubious about a shortarse against tall bowlers on bouncy pitches Quote
Traf Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 Duckett needs to learn very quickly that you don't have to play every ball. Quote
